About Soccer Shots

Mission: Our mission is to be the premier intro-to-soccer provider across the globe and to do so in such a way that it leaves a lasting impact on the youth we serve.

Method: We offer a quality, high-energy soccer program with principled instruction wrapped in fun. Our creative curriculum emphasizes soccer skills as well as character development, which transcends the game itself.

Motivation: Our motivation is to impact children in both soccer education and character development with application to all areas of children's lives. We are motivated by a desire to see kids experience the game of soccer and to enjoy the rewards that participation in the game offers.

History

Our founding partners, Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb, met as teammates while playing soccer both in college and professionally. They formed Soccer Shots® in 2000 when looking to earn some side money in their off-season. They shared an entrepreneurial spirit, a deep love of soccer, and a passion to inspire children to live fit and healthy lives.

The success of Soccer Shots in Charlotte, NC and Harrisburg, PA (where Sorzano and Webb first launched their businesses) led to several of their friends and former teammates wanting to get involved. In 2005, Soccer Shots began offering franchised businesses and opened its first four franchises in OH, DE, FL, and PA. The business opportunity attracts soccer entrepreneurs, and Soccer Shots has enjoyed growing with franchisees around the country.

In May of 2009, Justin Bredeman, another former college soccer teammate, became the third Soccer Shots partner. Justin brought with him 8 years of experience from Auntie Anne’s Inc., a pretzel franchising company, where he led a team that supported nearly 800 franchise units. His deep understanding of the franchise business model also comes from the knowledge gained from his 5 years of owning and running a Soccer Shots business of his own.

In August of 2009, the Soccer Shots partners founded Soccer Shots Global Goals™, the non-profit arm of Soccer Shots. Soccer Shots Global Goals provides opportunities to disadvantaged youth within the U.S. and around the world through the game of soccer.

Today, Soccer Shots is recognized as the premier intro to soccer provider throughout the United States. There are currently over 80 franchised and company-run units in over 30 states. Over 25,000 children will enjoy Soccer Shots this year!

In February, 2010, Soccer Shots was listed in Entrepreneur Magazine as a Top 500 Franchise for the 2nd year in a row. More recently, Entrepreneur Magazine ranked Soccer Shots a Top 30 new franchise and #9 in the category of Children's Fitness Programs. Rankings were made based on categories such as financial strength and stability, growth rate, size of the system, years in business, and start up costs.
