Soccer Shots is an elective program offered
to children ages 3-6 that meets once a week at daycare centers
and preschools throughout Anne Arundel County for 30- to 40-minute
sessions. All Soccer Shots instructors are energetic and enthusiastic,
are great teachers, and love working with children. The instructors
not only teach soccer skills, but also work on improving balance,
coordination, and agility with the kids. Soccer Shots also
uses the sessions to teach children important concepts such
as teamwork, sharing, and respect. Director: Dustin Shambach has enjoyed success as a soccer
player and as a coach. He played collegiately at Messiah College
and won 3 National Championships as a player and 2 as a coach.
Involved with Soccer Shots since 2003, he has coached thousands
of children ranging in age from 3 years old to the college player.
In Annapolis, Dustin will serve as the Director of Soccer Shots
and also be an assistant coach for the Naval Academy. Dustin
is an active member of the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America and currently holds his NSCAA “C” License.
