Not only do the instructors teach soccer skills, but they work on improving balance, coordination, and agility with the kids. Soccer Shots also uses the sessions to teach children important concepts such as teamwork, sharing, and respect.

Local Leadership

Eddie Russ grew up in Chicago where he was an all-league soccer and basketball player in high school. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in psychology. Eddie has extensive teaching and coaching experience: he was a varsity soccer coach for eight years and a high school basketball coach for thirteen years. He has been a high school English instructor for twelve years, and he is also the former Director of Athletics at St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin, TX. A long-time member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, Eddie believes in using soccer to teach lifelong lessons, including positive attitude, enthusiasm, listening skills, teamwork, sportsmanship and creativity. He lives in Central Austin with his wife Beth, son Zev, and his daughter Satya.

Instructors: Soccer Shots' outstanding crew of instructors consists of local college soccer players and other highly qualified and motivated soccer coaches. Their #1 goal is to make sure your child is having fun, being safe, and learning basic soccer skills, teamwork, and fair play.

SOCCER SHOTS GIVES BACK:
PARTNERING TO BRING AID TO CHILDREN IN SOUTH AFRICA
$1 DONATED FROM EACH REGISTRATION

Soccer Shots Global Goals is the philanthropic arm of Soccer Shots. Through this non-profit organization, we seek to impact children involved in our Soccer Shots program as well as positively influence disadvantaged children in the US and around the world.

Inspired by the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Soccer Shots Global Goals will focus on Khayelitsha, South Africa, a township outside of Cape Town where many children have lost parents to HIV/AIDS and are in the care of the community. Our renowned and proven partner, Amandla Ku Lutsha, empowers and educates homeless and orphaned youth through education and soccer. In order to reach our financial goal of 30k by summer 2010, $1 of your child's registration fee will go toward this pledge.

"Stronger Youth. Beyond the Game."
