Soccer
Shots is an elective program offered to children ages
3-8 that meets once a week at daycare centers and preschools throughout
Charleston for 30- to 40-minute sessions. All Soccer Shots instructors
are energetic and enthusiastic, are great teachers, and love working
with children. The instructors not only teach soccer skills, but
also work on improving balance, coordination, and agility with
the kids. Soccer Shots also uses the sessions to teach children
important concepts such as teamwork, sharing, and respect. The
program is offered conveniently on-site, and no special gear (cleats
or shin guards) is needed. Soccer Shots is fully licensed and
insured. (we also do birthday parties and summer camps) Neighborhood Park Programs Now Available! We now offer neighborhood park programs for your convenience. To find out how to start a park program in your area contact Matt at mtanzini@soccershots.org 2009-2010 Season Schedule Winter Session: 8 Weeks (January-March) Spring Session: 10 Weeks (April-June) Summer Session: 8 Weeks (June-August) Fall Session: 10 Weeks (September-December) Local Leadership: Matt Tanzini: A native of upstate NY, Matt played soccer collegiately at Herkimer Community College and West Virginia University, winning two National Championships at Herkimer. Professionally, he played for eight years winning a championship for the Harrisburg City Islanders USL 2 team in 2007. Matt was also a member of the US National Futsal team during his professional career. He has worked extensively with youth soccer players over the past 13 years, coaching for one of the top clubs in the country. Matt was inducted to the NJCAA Hall of Fame in 2009 and is an active member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Instructors: Contact Info: krista@soccershots.org
