Local Leadership Information

Barbara Maia, Director:
Barbara grew up in a military family. As the youngest of seven children, all of whom were soccer players, it seemed only natural for her to play as well. She started playing when she was five and has not stopped since! She played in high school and in college. Her sophomore year of college she was named player of the week. Barbara has experience coaching youth soccer and holds a youth 1 license for the state of North Carolina.

Jeremy Maia, Director:
Jeremy grew up Morehead City, NC where he started playing soccer at an early age. Since that time he has played on various outdoor, indoor and beach soccer teams. He is currently the Assistant/Goal Keeping coach for a U13 Boys Classic team. Jeremy also runs the local adult soccer leauges. Jeremy currently holds a  North Carolina E license and a State Goal Keeping License.

Barbara and Jeremy met playing Sand Soccer in Virginia Beach in 2006 and they got married in October in 2009. They now reside in Bogue, NC, and play on co-ed teams together.

Instructors:
Soccer Shots' outstanding crew of instructors consists of local college soccer coaches and players and other highly qualified and motivated soccer coaches. Their #1 goal is to ensure your child is having a good and safe time all the while learning basic soccer skills, teamwork, and fair play.
