Soccer Shots has also been listed by Entrepreneur® Magazine as a top
Low Cost Franchise and was also featured in Entrepreneur's February, 2007 issue: Kidding
Around These entrepreneurs are serious about their kid-friendly
franchises. By: Tracy Stapp With the under-18 crowd making up over a
quarter of the US population, catering to kids can really pay off. But it's a
crowded market, so standing out can be tough. New franchisors are finding unique
ways to target the children's market - and attracting parents by teaching kids
important skills and values. Perfect Score Jason Webb and Jeremy Sorzano
met as soccer teammates in college and later played together professionally for
the Charlotte Eagles. It was during this time that they formed the idea for Soccer
Shots. Both men wanted to share their love of soccer and they saw a niche that
wasn't being filled: classes for kids ages 3 to 8. In 2002, they started programs
in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, offering soccer classes
to preschools, day-care centers, and after-school programs. The classes teach
soccer skills, teamwork, self-esteem, and healthy living habits, making the program
especially appealing to parents and school directors. Franchising since 2005,
Webb and Sorzano, 31 and 33 respectively, hope to attract entrepreneurs as well. Franchise

Why Franchise: Why reinvent the wheel and why do it alone? It's a proven
statistic that nearly 90% of self-started businesses fail within the first 3 years.
However, franchises succeed at an incredibly high rate. Our experience, proven
methods and systems, and training and support provide measures for success that
doing it alone can not offer. Great Concept: · Parents
love it. Our clinics/sessions are mobile - we come right to the day care center
saving parents one less thing to drive their kids to after work or on weekends.
· Day care centers love it. Our program adds value to centers and gives
teachers a break from kids that need to burn energy. We take care of that for
them! · Kids love it. Why wouldn't they? Soccer is the #1 youth sport
in America. Our curriculum is uniquely designed for this special age group. Reasons
for Success: We believe the market for soccer education, specifically to
children ages 3-8, is growing, primarily due to the importance of developing active
lifestyle habits at an early age. According to the United States Census Bureau,
there are more than 687,000 day care centers across the United States. More than
ten million preschool aged children live in the U.S. and of those, approximately
twenty percent (20%) attend day care full time. This statistic does not account
for those children that attend part time. Over the past twenty (20) years, the
number of working single moms and families with both parents working full time
has increased and estimates indicate that this number will continue to increase
for at least the next decade. Our experience is that very few soccer programs
exist for the specific benefit of preschool-aged children. Soccer Shots has been
successful at targeting this age group with a professionally-designed and age-appropriate
curriculum that combines basic soccer skills, fitness-oriented games and activities,
and character development lessons. Beyond this, soccer is the most popular youth
sport in America, is affordable to teach and play, and appeals to both boys and
girls. Soccer Shots franchises are affordable to start and maintain, as
no land or storefront is required, equipment and supplies required are minimal
and affordable, and administrative overhead is low. Although we provide extensive
training, ongoing business support, and our proven program methodologies in an
effort to help you succeed, the ultimate success of a Soccer Shots franchise depends
upon your individual business abilities and capabilities. How do I start
