Coach Joe

Coach Joe

Welcome aboard Coach Joe! While his Bachelor’s degree in Advertising has led him to a career with ClearOne Advantage, he has always had a passion for coaching children! So far, his favorite part of coaching Soccer Shots has been getting to teach and play fun games with the kids. When Coach Joe is not working or coaching, he likes to spend time with his 5 children and 9-month-old boxer puppy!

Coach Jason

Coach Jason

Coach Jason has joined the Soccer Shots team and is excited to start coaching this Fall! His coaching background has given him experience in soccer, football, lacrosse, and baseball! When he isn’t coaching, you can find him teaching Physical Education and Health in Baltimore County Public Schools. The best part of coaching Soccer Shots to Coach Jason has been interacting with each of the children and watching them having fun! Coach Jason loves how the curriculum incorporates more than just soccer related skills, especially how the classes are built to focus more on the child rather than their actual soccer abilities! Coach Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and getting to watch their two children become young adults through their experiences in sports, drama, and life!

This past summer we welcomed Coach Joe To the Soccer Shots team! Sharing his passion for soccer with the kids is his favorite part of coaching. Without a doubt, his favorite portion of Soccer Shots is the scrimmage! He loves getting to teach kids the foundations of gameplay! In his spare time, Coach Joe works on obtaining his Industrial Psychology degree and spending time with his dog, Arya!

Coach Ashley

This fall will be Coach Ashley’s first season with Soccer Shots! Coach Ashley has a Bachelor’s in Psychology and has been coaching lacrosse at York College of Pennsylvania for past 12 years! She also works in Project Management and Client Care for a Real Estate Investment Company. Her favorite part about being a coach for Soccer Shots is getting to work with children! The best part is that the kids love the weekly themes as much as she does! In Coach Ashley’s free time, she likes to do art projects and sports with her 3 kids!

Coach Lauren

Fall Intern

Coach Lauren has come on board with Soccer Shots as a Fall Intern! Sports have always played a big role in her life ranging from volleyball to track and field so she is very excited to get to work with soccer! When not in the office or coaching, you can find Coach Lauren at Stevenson University studying Psychology with a focus in Sport Psychology or competing in a track meet! Her favorite part about coaching Soccer Shots has been getting to empower the children every class and to watch their confidence grow! Coach Lauren also loves that the curriculum introduces words of the week that are incorporated into the class such as respect!

Coach Melissa

Coach Melissa

Welcome Coach Melissa to the Soccer Shots team! Her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and completion of a Primary Teaching Credential Program at California Lutheran University led her to teach middle school and Pre-K. In Coach Melissa’s free time, she loves spending time with her three kids, husband and their big dog named Apollo! Her favorite part of being a coach is seeing the smiles and excitement on the kid’s faces as they play. Coach Melissa also loves seeing their confidence grow when they master a new skill. Even though it’s a hard choice, Coach Melissa’s favorite part of the curriculum is scoring goals! She says seeing their faces light up when the soccer ball hits the back of the net is the best!

Coach Leigha

Coach Leigha

Coach Leigha has just come on board with us for the Fall 2018 season! Growing up in New York, she also earned her Bachelor’s in Childhood Education from Molloy College in Long Island.  Since then she has worked in the Early Childhood setting for three years now and is a preschool teacher in Baltimore. Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is seeing the kids grow to love playing soccer and their progression each week they come to play! Overall, Coach Leigha’s favorite part of Soccer Shots that the curriculum is designed and aligned with the stages of child development.

Coach Dan

Fall Intern

Coach Dan is one of the Soccer Shots interns for the Fall season! When he’s not coaching or in the office, you can find him at Towson University studying Business Marketing or working part-time at the Banana Republic. His passion for soccer began at a young age and even led him to play at a collegiate level. Coach Dan’s favorite part about being a Soccer Shots coach is watching the progression of shy children become more confident in their abilities. He also enjoys how the Soccer Shots curriculum introduces skill moves at a young age.

Coach Amanda

Coach Amanda

Coach Amanda joined the Soccer Shots team for the Summer 2018 season. When it comes to coaching Soccer Shots, Coach Amanda enjoys how we use an age-appropriate curriculum for our classes. For example, using repetition with the minis groups! Overall, she loves having the ability to work with children and getting to see them progress in every class. Coach Amanda has always had a strong appreciation for sports and is set to graduate in December with her Bachelor’s in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration from Towson University. Coach Amanda is also the President of the Club Field Hockey team at Towson!

Coach Jon

Coach Jon

Coach Jon is one of our new coaches this season! You can be sure to see him bringing his high enthusiasm in every class. Coach Jon’s favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is getting to play soccer all day, every day! If he had to choose a specific highlight of the class it would be the score a goal portion. He says watching the excitement the kids get when they score is priceless. Coach Jon has quite the diverse background including; two Bachelor’s in Wildlife Conservation and  Agriculture and Natural Resources, being a hotshot in California fighting wildfires and running a marathon in 3:32! Now Coach Jon is even studying to become a Certified Personal trainer.

 Coach Emma

Coach Emma

Coach Emma is joining the Soccer Shots Team this season! She began playing soccer at 3 years old, just like some of our soccer friends in the Mini groups! Coach Emma loves hearing the kids cheer for each other especially during the score a goal portion! She can’t help to smile with the kids during every class. Coach Emma’s passion for teaching children makes her a great fit for Soccer Shots. She is currently a junior at Towson University working on her Middle School Education Bachelor’s degree!

COACH ALLAN

COACH ALLAN

Coach Allan is originally from the Philippines and has been with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2015. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and dog. Allan is looking to continue his Masters studies in Communication at Loyola University and he used to practice Akidio as a hobby. He really enjoys each class he coaches and you may catch him wearing his GoPro camera to take some great photos during Soccer Shots sessions! Coach Allan’s favorite part of Soccer Shots is the scrimmage when he sees the great reactions from the children who score a goal! He loves how much fun Soccer Shots is for the children he coaches and that he has the chance to positively impact them.

Coach Annie

Coach Annie

Annie started with Soccer Shots in Spring 2018 and is a part of our team as a summer intern. She is working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Spanish at UMBC. Along with school she is currently working as an intern for UMBC’s Sports Medicine Department. Her family has run and managed a youth soccer league in Owings Mills for over 10 years. She has acted as both a coach and referee alongside her father and brother. Her mother handles the administrative side of the league. Soccer Shots seemed like a great fit for her! Her favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is that it teaches children the basics of soccer, such as settling and dribbling, in a fun and interactive way. It is great to see the soccer players enjoy themselves while also learning! Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is watching the kids grow to love playing soccer! She loves seeing them progress and gain more confidence as the weeks go by.

Coach Chris

Coach Chris

Assistant Coaching Program Coordinator

Coach Chris has been a coach since 2016. He graduated from Goucher College with a Bachelor’s of the Arts in Psychology. He is also currently a part-time musician who plays up and down the Eastern Seaboard with several different Baltimore based groups. He studied childhood development in a multicultural context abroad in Denmark for four months. His favorite part of the curriculum is the fun game that’s a part of every week’s skill acquisition. These games give him the ability to utilize a fun, imaginative approach to coaching that  results in a laughing, fun environment for the children.  His favorite part about being a Soccer Shots coach is watching the children incorporate our character words such as Respect and Encouragement into our sessions and using these words to help their fellow players overcome obstacles.

Coach David

Coach David

David started with our Soccer Shots team in Winter 2018. He is originally from California and graduated from Goucher College with a Communications and Studio Art degree. He works at Notre Dame of Maryland University in the Athletic Department. Some of David’s favorite things include “The Office” TV series, chips and guacamole, and the book “The Art of Fielding”.  He also enjoys taking vacations to Italy. He enjoys working with children and is grateful to have the opportunity to spread the love of soccer to others. He believes Soccer Shots helps to teach teamwork and other skills needed for both soccer and life. Coach David truly loves the effect that soccer has and how much fun Soccer Shots is for each child.

Coach Deborah

Coach Deborah

Coach Deborah started coaching with Soccer Shots during the 2017-2018 Winter season. Her favorite part of being a coach is the kids of course! She loves watching them improve throughout the season and hearing so many random and funny stories every class. Deborah also loves how excited everyone is for each session when they see her walk through the door with all of her equipment. Coach Deborah’s favorite part of the curriculum is the scrimmage! Deborah is working for the 2018 Teach for America and will be teaching PreK or Kindergarten in the fall in Baltimore. She has a BS in Communications/Journalism from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and an MA in International Affairs from American University. She will be taking education classes at Johns Hopkins University in Fall 2018 as part of Teach for America and will potentially be pursuing a degree in the field focused in Early Childhood Education. Coach Deborah played soccer in the WPSL for two seasons and is an avid Manchester United fan.

COACH JEFF

COACH JEFF

Coach Jeff has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2014. Jeff has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Towson University and is an avid photographer. He is a dedicated father to his two children Duncan and Lily and has been married to his wife Dawn for 27 years. If the children he coaches at Soccer Shots can walk away with one thing, he wants them to remember to always give their best effort! He loves being able to teach kids the game he loves and he enjoys the interaction with the children he coaches; it is always entertaining! His favorite part of coaching is seeing the children in the scrimmage where they can use the skills they have been learning.

Coach Jen

Coach Jen joined the Soccer Shots team for the Summer 2018 season! While originally from California, Coach Jen completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan. Now, she is pursuing her M.S.N. at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.  Coach Jen’s favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is being able to work with so many wonderful kids. She loves how much fun they have while playing soccer and truly enjoys being a part of it! Speaking more specifically, Coach Jen loves the game portion of the curriculum. Especially how creative the games are and how the children have a blast with it!

Coach Jess

Coach Jess

Coach Jess came on board with Soccer Shots as an intern for our Baltimore Team in Summer 2016. She is living in Towson, Maryland; however she is originally from Calvert County in southern Maryland. She is a full time student who will be graduating from Towson University in December 2017 with a degree in Media and Film. She is also an intern at Towson Sports Network which broadcasts and streams Towson University’s athletic events as well as an intern at Maryland Public Television. She has two brothers and two dogs who her family rescued named Courage and Sadie. Her favorite part of the curriculum is all of the games the children play. Every game they play reflects the skill that they are working on for the week and then builds off of what they have already learned. They’re all so fun to play! Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is how she gets to see how each child improves throughout each season and then from season to season. She is also a big fan of high fives!

Coach Jimmy

Coach Jimmy

Coach Jimmy started coaching with Soccer Shots in the 2018 Summer season. His favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is the guidance he is able to deliver to the players. Having the ability to connect with the parents and directors who run the “daycare world” is something that has truly allowed him to fully appreciate child care. Coach Jimmy’s favorite part of the curriculum are the different themes that Soccer Shots utilizes throughout the season. These themes allow the soccer players to use their imagination and create a different world during the sessions. Along with his Soccer Shots internship, Jimmy is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Finance at McDaniel College with minors in Accounting, Economics, Sports Management, and Communication. He hopes to later attend graduate school in hopes of obtaining a Masters in Business Administration and Finance. Jimmy loves visiting and spending time in New York with his extended family, playing collegiate tennis, running, skiing, and being all around active.

COACH JULIA

COACH JULIA

Julia lives in Windsor Mill, MD and started coaching with us in Summer 2017. She loves being able to teach youth soccer in a fun way. She  has a B.A. and M.S. in the Criminal Justice field and she is currently working at an Intensive Group Home for juveniles. One of Julia’s favorite things to do is to travel and see new places. She enjoys the interactive games that are in the Soccer Shots curriculum and watching the children have a smile on their face when they are playing!

Coach Kailin

Coach Kailin

Coach Kailin has been a coach with us since 2016. She currently works as a scribe at carroll hospital and is attending UMBC as a Biology major on a Pre-Med track. Her future plans are to become a pediatrician. Her favorite part of the curriculum is the game section. Each class there is a new imaginative game and the children get to incorporate all of the moves they know and a new move they are learning that class. She loves seeing how excited all the soccer players get when they learn something new or perfect a move.

COACH KIM

COACH KIM

Coach Kim coaches in Harford County, MD. She is a veteran coach for Soccer Shots Baltimore and has been with us since 2010. Kim is a loving mother of three boys and has experience in the school system as a teacher. She is currently a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams American Premier Realty in Bel Air. She enjoys running, cooking/baking, and spending time with her children and her husband, Mike. Her main priority is raising her children and she extends this caring nature to the children she coaches. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to work with children and teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.

COACH MELINDA

COACH MELINDA

Coach Melinda has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2013 and goes by “Coach M” to her soccer players. She coaches in Harford County and is a loving mother of two boys. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to guide children through stages of development via the game of soccer. She loves that our Soccer Shots curriculum disguises legitimate soccer skills as Fun or silly. The kids dont even realize how much soccer or sportsmanship ‘content’ they are receiving. They experience working on gross motor skills, coordination, and character development. We can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.

COACH RESA

COACH RESA

Coach Resa has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since Spring 2015. She coaches in Harford County and lives there with her husband and children. She also works as a Merchandiser for American Greetings. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has a great opportunity to work with children.  She loves when the kids enjoy the games and ask to play them over and over again! She loves being outside, getting exercise and playing games with the kids. She believes that we can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.

COACH SAM

COACH SAM

Coach Sam started with Soccer Shots in Spring 2017.  He is currently working toward his Degree in Applied Exercise Sciences and has a job working at Target. He lives with his girlfriend of three years and has three dogs and one cat. He has a passion for playing soccer and lacrosse. He likes how there are many different games that incorporate the soccer skills and character words in our Soccer Shots curriculum. He loves how the children are so excited to come to Soccer Shots and play.  He loves knowing that they are looking forward to Soccer Shots each week!
