Coach Allan is originally from the Philippines and has been with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2015. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and dog. Allan is looking to continue his Masters studies in Communication at Loyola University and he used to practice Akidio as a hobby. He really enjoys each class he coaches and you may catch him wearing his GoPro camera to take some great photos during Soccer Shots sessions! Coach Allan’s favorite part of Soccer Shots is the scrimmage when he sees the great reactions from the children who score a goal! He loves how much fun Soccer Shots is for the children he coaches and that he has the chance to positively impact them.
Adam joined our soccer shots team in Winter 2018. He is originally from England where he studied Sports Coaching and Development at Manchester Metropolitan University. Now, he lives in Baltimore with his German Shepard, Payton. He is a goalie coach for the Loyola Men’s Soccer Team and in his spare time he enjoys playing soccer. Coach Adam’s favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is seeing the children improve week after week and seeing the improvement through each child as they find their personality. When it comes to the curriculum, Coach Adam loves the scrimmage section because it teaches the children important skills and lets them practice what a real soccer game looks like.
Coach Aly became a member of our Soccer Shots team in Fall 2017. She is currently a student at Goucher College majoring in communications. She really loves dogs and has four back at home named Jenny Lee, Charlie, Bowie, and Little Guy. Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is getting the children engaged and seeing their confidence improve through playing soccer. Her favorite part of the curriculum is the score a goal portion; it is great to see soccer players cheering on their teammates, and seeing them persevere to score a goal.
Annie started with Soccer Shots in Spring 2018 and is a part of our team as a summer intern. She is working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Spanish at UMBC. Along with school she is currently working as an intern for UMBC’s Sports Medicine Department. Her family has run and managed a youth soccer league in Owings Mills for over 10 years. She has acted as both a coach and referee alongside her father and brother. Her mother handles the administrative side of the league. Soccer Shots seemed like a great fit for her! Her favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is that it teaches children the basics of soccer, such as settling and dribbling, in a fun and interactive way. It is great to see the soccer players enjoy themselves while also learning! Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is watching the kids grow to love playing soccer! She loves seeing them progress and gain more confidence as the weeks go by.
Assistant Coaching Program Coordinator
Coach Chris has been a coach since 2016. He graduated from Goucher College with a Bachelor’s of the Arts in Psychology. He is also currently a part-time musician who plays up and down the Eastern Seaboard with several different Baltimore based groups. He studied childhood development in a multicultural context abroad in Denmark for four months. His favorite part of the curriculum is the fun game that’s a part of every week’s skill acquisition. These games give him the ability to utilize a fun, imaginative approach to coaching that results in a laughing, fun environment for the children. His favorite part about being a Soccer Shots coach is watching the children incorporate our character words such as Respect and Encouragement into our sessions and using these words to help their fellow players overcome obstacles.
David started with our Soccer Shots team in Winter 2018. He is originally from California and graduated from Goucher College with a Communications and Studio Art degree. He works at Notre Dame of Maryland University in the Athletic Department. Some of David’s favorite things include “The Office” TV series, chips and guacamole, and the book “The Art of Fielding”. He also enjoys taking vacations to Italy. He enjoys working with children and is grateful to have the opportunity to spread the love of soccer to others. He believes Soccer Shots helps to teach teamwork and other skills needed for both soccer and life. Coach David truly loves the effect that soccer has and how much fun Soccer Shots is for each child.
Coach Hemon started with Soccer Shots in Spring 2018. He is originally from Nepal and now lives in Baltimore with his wife and their daughter, Scarlett. He studied Communication at Loyola University. Coach Hemon enjoys playing soccer and is excited to apply his skills and abilities to teaching children the sport. His favorite part of the curriculum is when the new skills are introduced to the children.
Coach Jeff has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2014. Jeff has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Towson University and is an avid photographer. He is a dedicated father to his two children Duncan and Lily and has been married to his wife Dawn for 27 years. If the children he coaches at Soccer Shots can walk away with one thing, he wants them to remember to always give their best effort! He loves being able to teach kids the game he loves and he enjoys the interaction with the children he coaches; it is always entertaining! His favorite part of coaching is seeing the children in the scrimmage where they can use the skills they have been learning.
Coach Jess came on board with Soccer Shots as an intern for our Baltimore Team in Summer 2016. She is living in Towson, Maryland; however she is originally from Calvert County in southern Maryland. She is a full time student who will be graduating from Towson University in December 2017 with a degree in Media and Film. She is also an intern at Towson Sports Network which broadcasts and streams Towson University’s athletic events as well as an intern at Maryland Public Television. She has two brothers and two dogs who her family rescued named Courage and Sadie. Her favorite part of the curriculum is all of the games the children play. Every game they play reflects the skill that they are working on for the week and then builds off of what they have already learned. They’re all so fun to play! Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is how she gets to see how each child improves throughout each season and then from season to season. She is also a big fan of high fives!
Julia lives in Windsor Mill, MD and started coaching with us in Summer 2017. She loves being able to teach youth soccer in a fun way. She has a B.A. and M.S. in the Criminal Justice field and she is currently working at an Intensive Group Home for juveniles. One of Julia’s favorite things to do is to travel and see new places. She enjoys the interactive games that are in the Soccer Shots curriculum and watching the children have a smile on their face when they are playing!
Coach Kailin has been a coach with us since 2016. She currently works as a scribe at carroll hospital and is attending UMBC as a Biology major on a Pre-Med track. Her future plans are to become a pediatrician. Her favorite part of the curriculum is the game section. Each class there is a new imaginative game and the children get to incorporate all of the moves they know and a new move they are learning that class. She loves seeing how excited all the soccer players get when they learn something new or perfect a move.
Coach Kim coaches in Harford County, MD. She is a veteran coach for Soccer Shots Baltimore and has been with us since 2010. Kim is a loving mother of three boys and has experience in the school system as a teacher. She is currently a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams American Premier Realty in Bel Air. She enjoys running, cooking/baking, and spending time with her children and her husband, Mike. Her main priority is raising her children and she extends this caring nature to the children she coaches. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to work with children and teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Coach Kylee has been with Soccer Shots Baltimore since January 2017. She lives in Baltimore County and is currently working full time as a store manager for a salon. She is working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Psychology. Her hobby is soccer, soccer, soccer! If she is not working, teaching the kids, etc., she is either playing in adult leagues or finding some ways to keep soccer in her life. Kylee loves teaching the Soccer Shots Curriculum that is designed to be age-appropriate. It is extremely engaging and fun for the children!
Coach Melinda has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2013 and goes by “Coach M” to her soccer players. She coaches in Harford County and is a loving mother of two boys. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to guide children through stages of development via the game of soccer. She loves that our Soccer Shots curriculum disguises legitimate soccer skills as Fun or silly. The kids dont even realize how much soccer or sportsmanship ‘content’ they are receiving. They experience working on gross motor skills, coordination, and character development. We can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Natashalee started coaching Soccer Shots in Fall 2017. She is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, and has already earned her Bachelor’s Degree in sociology. Her favorite part of the curriculum is being able to incorporate and teach new vocabulary words to children and allowing them to grow both physically and intellectually. In general, Natashalee enjoys how Soccer Shots engages the youth community and keeps children active! She has a family consisting of her mom, dad, sister, and an especially cute 6-month-old nephew. When she is not coaching or studying, Natashalee enjoys hiking, fishing, and reading.
Nick started with Soccer Shots in Spring 2018. He is a senior at Towson University and is pursuing a degree in Finance, specifically investments, in addition to working at Eddie Bauer as a sales associate. When it comes to becoming a coach, Nick is looking forward to sharing his passion for soccer with a new generation of players. He grew up playing soccer with his brother and is eager to teach the curriculum and life lessons that will help these children grow as soccer players and individuals. His favorite part of the program is the scrimmage between the children because it reinforces previously learned skills. Along with soccer, some of Coach Nick’s hobbies are snowboarding and cars. He enjoys watching The Fast and Furious serious and getting any chance he can to take a trip to California.
Rawlison is an undergraduate studying Chemical and Biological Engineering at Princeton University and works at The Arena Club with their children’s program. After university, he plans to attend medical school working in orthopedics’ or anesthesiology with children and young adults. Joining Soccer Shots in 2017, his favorite part of the curriculum is the use of themes such as the zoo or the ocean. The themes not only allow him to be silly and fun while coaching soccer but also teach children about other interesting subjects. Being new to Soccer Shots, he especially enjoys how being a Soccer Shots Coach rewards him with the opportunity to teach and see kids with bright, smiling faces as they master new social and physical motor skills. Rawlison has a younger brother and sister, and enjoys hiking and playing volleyball.
Coach Resa has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since Spring 2015. She coaches in Harford County and lives there with her husband and children. She also works as a Merchandiser for American Greetings. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has a great opportunity to work with children. She loves when the kids enjoy the games and ask to play them over and over again! She loves being outside, getting exercise and playing games with the kids. She believes that we can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Coach Ryan joined our Soccer Shots team in 2017. He is working on a undergraduate degree in economics at Towson University as well as working on getting his certification to become a licensed financial adviser. After college he plans on attending a law school. He has played soccer for 16 years, 11 of them competitively at the club level. Eventually he would like to be a high level/competitive coach. In addition Ryan enjoys volunteering at elementary schools and being able to help young children. He loves that through Soccer Shots the children have lots of fun while also learning about one of the best sports in the world. His favorite part of the curriculum is the themes that are used, such as the zoo or ocean, which are used as a creative and fun way to get the kids excited for Soccer Shots.
Coach Sam started with Soccer Shots in Spring 2017. He is currently working toward his Degree in Applied Exercise Sciences and has a job working at Target. He lives with his girlfriend of three years and has three dogs and one cat. He has a passion for playing soccer and lacrosse. He likes how there are many different games that incorporate the soccer skills and character words in our Soccer Shots curriculum. He loves how the children are so excited to come to Soccer Shots and play. He loves knowing that they are looking forward to Soccer Shots each week!
Coach Sam coaches in Baltimore County and became a part of Soccer Shots Baltimore in 2016. She enjoys working with children and differently from other coaches, she did not grow up playing soccer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Wellbeing and is currently in graduate school for Occupational Therapy at Towson University. She has also completed two 12-week internships at Mosaic Community Services and Kennedy Krieger Institute. With our program Samantha is really able to highlight character development and learn soccer along with the children. She has a lot of fun with the children in her classes. She loves playing all the fun games and being creative, but her absolute favorite part is watching all her soccer stars score a goal!
Sara joined our Soccer Shots team in Winter 2018. She is an undergraduate studying Business at Towson University and plans on graduating in May 2018. She is originally from New York and recently spent a semester studying abroad in Australia and spent time traveling the world. In her spare time, she loves to watch movies and hang out with friends. Through Soccer Shots she enjoys helping impact children in a positive way. Her favorite part of being a coach is getting the opportunity to see the growth the children have been making, while enhancing their athletic skills through the fun game of soccer. Sara loves the curriculum and the lessons that are incorporated into each activity. The curriculum is age appropriate ad helps strengthen their skills and educational values. Her favorite part of each session is the excitement and joy that each child feels. Coach Sara is specifically excited about making new relationships and learning new skills needed to be a part of Soccer Shots.
Sarah is studying Elementary Education at Towson University. She is originally from Maryland where she lives with her family and her cat named Tay. She enjoys playing soccer and Soccer Shots is excited to have her on the team as of Spring 2018. Coach Sarah is looking forward to being able to have a ball at her feet even though it’s been years since she’s played. She loves getting involved with soccer even though she is not physically playing. She enjoys having the opportunity to teach young children a sport that she grew up playing and fell in love with. Sarah’s favorite part of the curriculum is the building of character. Soccer shots includes character words each week for players to learn and use on and off the field that make them better players and learn life lessons. She also loves the fun games that get children engaged and involved by connecting them to fun themes such as superheroes and the zoo. During her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, playing soccer, and running.
Sean Perry has been with Soccer Shots since Fall 2017. He enjoys helping the kids practice soccer, but more importantly likes that our program helps children stay active, have fun, and learn valuable lessons. His favorite part about the curriculum is that the children are able to grow in multiple capacities, not just physically. Sean is currently a junior at Towson University where he studies Mass Communications with a focus in journalism and new media. When Sean is not coaching or studying he enjoys spending his time working on his love of photography and listening to music.
Shana started with Soccer Shots in Winter 2018. She attends the University of Maryland pursing a degree in Social Work and Business Management. She completed her MSW in 2017 and is currently working to receive her MBA in 2018. She has a daughter and a dog named Princess. She loves spending her free time reading, completing puzzles, and hanging by any body of water. Shana enjoys getting involved and learning about the Soccer Shots curriculum; she likes having the ability to apply it to the children’s experience with soccer. Her favorite part of the curriculum is incorporating the character words and adding imagination into each session.
Coach Terin started coaching at Soccer Shots in the Fall 2017 season. As an accounting major working towards his CPA, being a coach at Soccer Shots gives him the opportunity to spend time with kids and help them gain knowledge about the game of soccer. Being a coach allows him to create an energetic and fun environment for the children to be comfortable. His favorite part about being a coach is teaching the kids the Word of the Day and helping them grow intellectually. In his free time Terin enjoys playing soccer with friends, going on long drives, and trying exotic foods!
