Coach Allan is originally from the Philippines and has been with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2015. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and dog. Allan is looking to continue his Masters studies in Communication at Loyola University and he used to practice Akidio as a hobby. He really enjoys each class he coaches and you may catch him wearing his GoPro camera to take some great photos during Soccer Shots sessions! Coach Allan’s favorite part of Soccer Shots is the scrimmage when he sees the great reactions from the children who score a goal! He loves how much fun Soccer Shots is for the children he coaches and that he has the chance to positively impact them.
Coach Amy was born and raised in Maryland. She graduated from Towson University with a degree in Mass Communications. She enjoys hiking, swimming, crafting and traveling to the mountains. Since joining Soccer Shots in spring 2019, Coach Amy, a mother of 2, has been seeking to inspire the soccer shots children through sport.
Coach Chaquon’ started with Soccer Shots in our winter 2019 season. She attended California Institute of the Arts & The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She studied Theatre Arts. She loves swimming, cooking, arts and crafts and is very open to new things. She loves being a Soccer Shots Coach, because she gets to motivate and inspire children to do their best despite obstacles.
Coach Derrick started with Soccer Shots in the Spring of 2019. He has a bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Teaching. He has a wife, 2 daughters, and a cat. One of his daughters loves participating in Soccer Shots at her preschool. He has a blast while coaching and loves to make soccer fun for his players.
Coach Isaac is originally from El Paso, Texas. He moved to the Baltimore area with his Fiance and dog and joined Soccer Shots in May 2019, following his time at Florida Gulf Coast University. In his free time, Coach Isaac enjoys working out and hiking. He is looking forward to getting started and putting a smile on a child’s face through the beautiful game.
Coach Jaxon is originally from upstate New York but has been raised in the Baltimore area for most of his life. He grew up on a horse farm with his parents, three brothers and dogs. Following high school, he attended Towson University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, along with a minor in Business Administration in 2019. His favorite place in the world is Honeoye, New York, where he spends time fishing and hiking. He likes to learn by reading scientific books and watching documentaries. Coach Jaxon is looking forward challenging himself and passing on his passion for soccer.
Coach Jeff has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2014. Jeff has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Towson University and is an avid photographer. He is a dedicated father to his two children Duncan and Lily and has been married to his wife Dawn for 27 years. If the children he coaches at Soccer Shots can walk away with one thing, he wants them to remember to always give their best effort! He loves being able to teach kids the game he loves and he enjoys the interaction with the children he coaches; it is always entertaining! His favorite part of coaching is seeing the children in the scrimmage where they can use the skills they have been learning.
Coach Jen joined the Soccer Shots team for the Summer 2018 season! While originally from California, Coach Jen completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan. Now, she is pursuing her M.S.N. at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Coach Jen’s favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is being able to work with so many wonderful kids. She loves how much fun they have while playing soccer and truly enjoys being a part of it! Speaking more specifically, Coach Jen loves the game portion of the curriculum. Especially how creative the games are and how the children have a blast with it!
Coach Jess came on board with Soccer Shots as an intern for our Baltimore Team in Summer 2016. She is living in Towson, Maryland; however she is originally from Calvert County in southern Maryland. She is a full time student who will be graduating from Towson University in December 2017 with a degree in Media and Film. She is also an intern at Towson Sports Network which broadcasts and streams Towson University’s athletic events as well as an intern at Maryland Public Television. She has two brothers and two dogs who her family rescued named Courage and Sadie. Her favorite part of the curriculum is all of the games the children play. Every game they play reflects the skill that they are working on for the week and then builds off of what they have already learned. They’re all so fun to play! Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is how she gets to see how each child improves throughout each season and then from season to season. She is also a big fan of high fives!
Welcome aboard Coach Joe! While his Bachelor’s degree in Advertising has led him to a career with ClearOne Advantage, he has always had a passion for coaching children! So far, his favorite part of coaching Soccer Shots has been getting to teach and play fun games with the kids. When Coach Joe is not working or coaching, he likes to spend time with his 5 children and 9-month-old boxer puppy!
Julia lives in Windsor Mill, MD and started coaching with us in Summer 2017. She loves being able to teach youth soccer in a fun way. She has a B.A. and M.S. in the Criminal Justice field and she is currently working at an Intensive Group Home for juveniles. One of Julia’s favorite things to do is to travel and see new places. She enjoys the interactive games that are in the Soccer Shots curriculum and watching the children have a smile on their face when they are playing!
Coach Kalyn joined Soccer Shots in May 2019 as an intern. Kalyn, a New Jersey native, lives in North Carolina with her parents and dog but is currently attending Towson University. She loves to swim, go to the beach and try new restaurants in the area. She enjoys eating sushi and watching her favorite movie, Remember the Titans. She is staying in Baltimore to share her passion for sports with children and watch them grow.
Kate started with Soccer Shots in Winter 2019. In her free time, Coach Kate likes to work out, walk her three dogs and cook…green eggs and ham! Her background is in education and her love for children and soccer makes her the perfect fit for Soccer Shots. She can’t wait to see children start to love the game as well.
Coach Katie started with Soccer Shots as a summer intern in 2019. She is a member of the Women’s Soccer team at McDaniel College, where she studies Business Administration, as well as Sports Management and Marketing. She joined Soccer Shots to share her love of soccer with children and inspire confidence in the children. When she is not playing soccer, Coach Katie likes to watch Game of Thrones and read the Harry Potter series.
Magdylenne joined our Soccer Shots team during our winter 2019 season. Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is the privilege of having an impact on the lives of children in a positive and reinforcing way. The teachable moments that present themselves following the introduction of the character word and the growth that comes with them are her favorite parts of the Soccer Shots curriculum. She currently holds an Associate degree in English from San Diego Mesa College and she is actively working on a Bachelor’s degree in History with a concentration in Pre-Law at Morgan State University. She comes from a blended family. She has two sisters and five brothers; she is the fourth child, but she is both of her parent’s first child.
Coach Melinda has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2013 and goes by “Coach M” to her soccer players. She coaches in Harford County and is a loving mother of two boys. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to guide children through stages of development via the game of soccer. She loves that our Soccer Shots curriculum disguises legitimate soccer skills as Fun or silly. The kids dont even realize how much soccer or sportsmanship ‘content’ they are receiving. They experience working on gross motor skills, coordination, and character development. We can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Welcome Coach Melissa to the Soccer Shots team! Her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and completion of a Primary Teaching Credential Program at California Lutheran University led her to teach middle school and Pre-K. In Coach Melissa’s free time, she loves spending time with her three kids, husband and their big dog named Apollo! Her favorite part of being a coach is seeing the smiles and excitement on the kid’s faces as they play. Coach Melissa also loves seeing their confidence grow when they master a new skill. Even though it’s a hard choice, Coach Melissa’s favorite part of the curriculum is scoring goals! She says seeing their faces light up when the soccer ball hits the back of the net is the best!
Coach Molly is originally from Charleston, West Virginia. She completed her undergraduate schooling at the University of Akron and earned her BA in Psychology and minor in Child Development. Currently, she is attending Towson University to obtain her MS in Child Life. When Coach Molly isn’t hitting the books, she is either doing activities like hiking or completing puzzles! Molly is so excited for the season to start so she can have fun with the kids and coach soccer!
Coach Tammy joined us in 2019. She has played soccer for 30 years She started as a Certified Chiropractic Assistant leading her to become a state and nationally Certified Massage Therapist. She had the great opportunity to play with Mia Hamm and on the Maryland ODP (Olympic Development Program) team. She has lived in Baltimore most of her life and a few years in Delaware. She loves her parrot named Sweetpea and is passionate about all animals. Her favorite hobbies are hiking, car shows, and attending Hot Rod events. She is extremely excited to join the Soccer Shots Team and can’t wait to help educate but most of all HAVE FUN!
Coach Noah started coaching with Soccer Shots during the 2018 Spring season. His favorite part of being a coach is personally embracing and embodying the theme because it allows the soccer players to imagine, create, and enter their own individually perceived realities. Coach Noah’s favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is the warm-up because that is when he is able to help his soccer friends immerse themselves in the theme of the session. Noah is pursuing a B.S. in Economics with a focus on statistical analysis. Along with his Soccer Shots internship, Noah works with Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, Towson University Athletics, and the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Noah is a running enthusiast and, although he is a track runner, he does enjoy the occasional long run with friends.
