Coach Ann Bradley (AB)
Coach Ann Bradley started coaching with Soccer Shots during the 2018 Summer season. Her favorite part of being a coach is inspiring the players to try their best and encouraging them to play all of the games with their soccer friends! Making sure that all the children are having fun and being safe is very important to her as a coach. Coach Ann Bradley’s favorite parts of the curriculum include learning the different themes, games, and character words. Signing songs helps her players remember the rules and the meaning of each character word! Along with her Soccer Shots internship, Ann Bradley babysits and coaches at Rebounders Gymnastics and is looking forward to working in the sports world! Ann Bradley is a recent graduate of Elon University in North Carolina. Her hobbies include cooking, dancing, and doing yoga.
Coach Allan is originally from the Philippines and has been with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2015. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and dog. Allan is looking to continue his Masters studies in Communication at Loyola University and he used to practice Akidio as a hobby. He really enjoys each class he coaches and you may catch him wearing his GoPro camera to take some great photos during Soccer Shots sessions! Coach Allan’s favorite part of Soccer Shots is the scrimmage when he sees the great reactions from the children who score a goal! He loves how much fun Soccer Shots is for the children he coaches and that he has the chance to positively impact them.
Annie started with Soccer Shots in Spring 2018 and is a part of our team as a summer intern. She is working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Spanish at UMBC. Along with school she is currently working as an intern for UMBC’s Sports Medicine Department. Her family has run and managed a youth soccer league in Owings Mills for over 10 years. She has acted as both a coach and referee alongside her father and brother. Her mother handles the administrative side of the league. Soccer Shots seemed like a great fit for her! Her favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is that it teaches children the basics of soccer, such as settling and dribbling, in a fun and interactive way. It is great to see the soccer players enjoy themselves while also learning! Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is watching the kids grow to love playing soccer! She loves seeing them progress and gain more confidence as the weeks go by.
Assistant Coaching Program Coordinator
Coach Chris has been a coach since 2016. He graduated from Goucher College with a Bachelor’s of the Arts in Psychology. He is also currently a part-time musician who plays up and down the Eastern Seaboard with several different Baltimore based groups. He studied childhood development in a multicultural context abroad in Denmark for four months. His favorite part of the curriculum is the fun game that’s a part of every week’s skill acquisition. These games give him the ability to utilize a fun, imaginative approach to coaching that results in a laughing, fun environment for the children. His favorite part about being a Soccer Shots coach is watching the children incorporate our character words such as Respect and Encouragement into our sessions and using these words to help their fellow players overcome obstacles.
David started with our Soccer Shots team in Winter 2018. He is originally from California and graduated from Goucher College with a Communications and Studio Art degree. He works at Notre Dame of Maryland University in the Athletic Department. Some of David’s favorite things include “The Office” TV series, chips and guacamole, and the book “The Art of Fielding”. He also enjoys taking vacations to Italy. He enjoys working with children and is grateful to have the opportunity to spread the love of soccer to others. He believes Soccer Shots helps to teach teamwork and other skills needed for both soccer and life. Coach David truly loves the effect that soccer has and how much fun Soccer Shots is for each child.
Coach Deborah started coaching with Soccer Shots during the 2017-2018 Winter season. Her favorite part of being a coach is the kids of course! She loves watching them improve throughout the season and hearing so many random and funny stories every class. Deborah also loves how excited everyone is for each session when they see her walk through the door with all of her equipment. Coach Deborah’s favorite part of the curriculum is the scrimmage! Deborah is working for the 2018 Teach for America and will be teaching PreK or Kindergarten in the fall in Baltimore. She has a BS in Communications/Journalism from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and an MA in International Affairs from American University. She will be taking education classes at Johns Hopkins University in Fall 2018 as part of Teach for America and will potentially be pursuing a degree in the field focused in Early Childhood Education. Coach Deborah played soccer in the WPSL for two seasons and is an avid Manchester United fan.
Coach Delaney started coaching with Soccer Shots in the 2018 Summer season. Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is being able to work with children and teach them how to play soccer while having fun! Their smiles can light up anyone’s day. Coach Delaney’s favorite part of the curriculum is all of the interactive themes that keep children involved while learning soccer as well as focusing on a new character word each session to leave these children more well rounded than when they started. Along with his Soccer Shots internship, Delaney is a teacher aid at Little Feet Preschool. She has her Associates of Arts Degree from Carroll Community College and is working towards the Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology at McDaniel College. Delaney loves being outdoors whether it is kayaking in the summer or snowboarding in the winter. She also loves photography and taking pictures any chance she can!
Coach Jeff has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2014. Jeff has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Towson University and is an avid photographer. He is a dedicated father to his two children Duncan and Lily and has been married to his wife Dawn for 27 years. If the children he coaches at Soccer Shots can walk away with one thing, he wants them to remember to always give their best effort! He loves being able to teach kids the game he loves and he enjoys the interaction with the children he coaches; it is always entertaining! His favorite part of coaching is seeing the children in the scrimmage where they can use the skills they have been learning.
Coach Jess came on board with Soccer Shots as an intern for our Baltimore Team in Summer 2016. She is living in Towson, Maryland; however she is originally from Calvert County in southern Maryland. She is a full time student who will be graduating from Towson University in December 2017 with a degree in Media and Film. She is also an intern at Towson Sports Network which broadcasts and streams Towson University’s athletic events as well as an intern at Maryland Public Television. She has two brothers and two dogs who her family rescued named Courage and Sadie. Her favorite part of the curriculum is all of the games the children play. Every game they play reflects the skill that they are working on for the week and then builds off of what they have already learned. They’re all so fun to play! Her favorite part of being a Soccer Shots Coach is how she gets to see how each child improves throughout each season and then from season to season. She is also a big fan of high fives!
Coach Jimmy started coaching with Soccer Shots in the 2018 Summer season. His favorite part of being a Soccer Shots coach is the guidance he is able to deliver to the players. Having the ability to connect with the parents and directors who run the “daycare world” is something that has truly allowed him to fully appreciate child care. Coach Jimmy’s favorite part of the curriculum are the different themes that Soccer Shots utilizes throughout the season. These themes allow the soccer players to use their imagination and create a different world during the sessions. Along with his Soccer Shots internship, Jimmy is currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Finance at McDaniel College with minors in Accounting, Economics, Sports Management, and Communication. He hopes to later attend graduate school in hopes of obtaining a Masters in Business Administration and Finance. Jimmy loves visiting and spending time in New York with his extended family, playing collegiate tennis, running, skiing, and being all around active.
Julia lives in Windsor Mill, MD and started coaching with us in Summer 2017. She loves being able to teach youth soccer in a fun way. She has a B.A. and M.S. in the Criminal Justice field and she is currently working at an Intensive Group Home for juveniles. One of Julia’s favorite things to do is to travel and see new places. She enjoys the interactive games that are in the Soccer Shots curriculum and watching the children have a smile on their face when they are playing!
Coach Kaelyn started coaching with Soccer Shots during the 2018 Summer season. Coach Kaelyn’s favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is getting to know the children and seeing them progress through the season. Kaelyn completed a degree in Health Science focused on Sport and Exercise Physiology and Psychology, while currently in graduate school at DeSales University studying physical therapy. Coach Kaelyn works as a science teacher and as a physical therapy technician. Kaelyn has a younger brother and sister and a yellow lab named Murphy. She has been a Girls on the Run coach for two years and they have been some of the best memories in her undergraduate career. Kaelyn also loves running, biking, swimming, hiking, and just about anything she can do outside.
Coach Kailin has been a coach with us since 2016. She currently works as a scribe at carroll hospital and is attending UMBC as a Biology major on a Pre-Med track. Her future plans are to become a pediatrician. Her favorite part of the curriculum is the game section. Each class there is a new imaginative game and the children get to incorporate all of the moves they know and a new move they are learning that class. She loves seeing how excited all the soccer players get when they learn something new or perfect a move.
Coach Kim coaches in Harford County, MD. She is a veteran coach for Soccer Shots Baltimore and has been with us since 2010. Kim is a loving mother of three boys and has experience in the school system as a teacher. She is currently a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams American Premier Realty in Bel Air. She enjoys running, cooking/baking, and spending time with her children and her husband, Mike. Her main priority is raising her children and she extends this caring nature to the children she coaches. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to work with children and teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Coach Kylee has been with Soccer Shots Baltimore since January 2017. She lives in Baltimore County and is currently working full time as a store manager for a salon. She is working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Psychology. Her hobby is soccer, soccer, soccer! If she is not working, teaching the kids, etc., she is either playing in adult leagues or finding some ways to keep soccer in her life. Kylee loves teaching the Soccer Shots Curriculum that is designed to be age-appropriate. It is extremely engaging and fun for the children!
Coach Melinda has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2013 and goes by “Coach M” to her soccer players. She coaches in Harford County and is a loving mother of two boys. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to guide children through stages of development via the game of soccer. She loves that our Soccer Shots curriculum disguises legitimate soccer skills as Fun or silly. The kids dont even realize how much soccer or sportsmanship ‘content’ they are receiving. They experience working on gross motor skills, coordination, and character development. We can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Coach Meredith started coaching with Soccer Shots during the 2018 Spring season. Her favorite part of being a coach is seeing the children grow in soccer skills but also their character. Coach Meredith’s favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is how the skills are practiced all throughout the session and how scrimmaging is built up every week. Meredith is currently a college student majoring in Early Childhood Education at Elizabethtown College and will be graduating in December of 2018. While at school, she works at a daycare center at Masonic village as a teacher. When at home for breaks and for the summer, Meredith works at the YMCA in Green Valley as a daycare teacher. Coach Meredith’s favorite color is blue and is a huge Penn State fan… Go State!
Natashalee started coaching Soccer Shots in Fall 2017. She is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, and has already earned her Bachelor’s Degree in sociology. Her favorite part of the curriculum is being able to incorporate and teach new vocabulary words to children and allowing them to grow both physically and intellectually. In general, Natashalee enjoys how Soccer Shots engages the youth community and keeps children active! She has a family consisting of her mom, dad, sister, and an especially cute 6-month-old nephew. When she is not coaching or studying, Natashalee enjoys hiking, fishing, and reading.
Coach Noah started coaching with Soccer Shots during the 2018 Spring season. His favorite part of being a coach is personally embracing and embodying the theme because it allows the soccer players to imagine, create, and enter their own individually perceived realities. Coach Noah’s favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is the warm-up because that is when he is able to help his soccer friends immerse themselves in the theme of the session. Noah is pursuing a B.S. in Economics with a focus on statistical analysis. Along with his Soccer Shots internship, Noah works with Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, Towson University Athletics, and the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Noah is a running enthusiast and, although he is a track runner, he does enjoy the occasional long run with friends.
Coach Resa has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since Spring 2015. She coaches in Harford County and lives there with her husband and children. She also works as a Merchandiser for American Greetings. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has a great opportunity to work with children. She loves when the kids enjoy the games and ask to play them over and over again! She loves being outside, getting exercise and playing games with the kids. She believes that we can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Coach Sam started with Soccer Shots in Spring 2017. He is currently working toward his Degree in Applied Exercise Sciences and has a job working at Target. He lives with his girlfriend of three years and has three dogs and one cat. He has a passion for playing soccer and lacrosse. He likes how there are many different games that incorporate the soccer skills and character words in our Soccer Shots curriculum. He loves how the children are so excited to come to Soccer Shots and play. He loves knowing that they are looking forward to Soccer Shots each week!
Sarah is studying Elementary Education at Towson University. She is originally from Maryland where she lives with her family and her cat named Tay. She enjoys playing soccer and Soccer Shots is excited to have her on the team as of Spring 2018. Coach Sarah is looking forward to being able to have a ball at her feet even though it’s been years since she’s played. She loves getting involved with soccer even though she is not physically playing. She enjoys having the opportunity to teach young children a sport that she grew up playing and fell in love with. Sarah’s favorite part of the curriculum is the building of character. Soccer shots includes character words each week for players to learn and use on and off the field that make them better players and learn life lessons. She also loves the fun games that get children engaged and involved by connecting them to fun themes such as superheroes and the zoo. During her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, playing soccer, and running.
Sean Perry has been with Soccer Shots since Fall 2017. He enjoys helping the kids practice soccer, but more importantly likes that our program helps children stay active, have fun, and learn valuable lessons. His favorite part about the curriculum is that the children are able to grow in multiple capacities, not just physically. Sean is currently a junior at Towson University where he studies Mass Communications with a focus in journalism and new media. When Sean is not coaching or studying he enjoys spending his time working on his love of photography and listening to music.
