Coach Amy was born and raised in Maryland, and graduated from Towson University with a degree in Mass Communications. When Coach Amy is not on the soccer field she enjoys hiking, swimming, crafting and traveling to the mountains with her 2 kiddos! Coach Amy has been helping to inspire soccer shots children since Spring of 2019!
Coach Chaquon’ joined Soccer Shots in our winter 2019 season. Coach Chaquon’ has a Theater Arts Degree from California Institute of the Arts & The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She admires poetry and art, but also enjoys swimming, cooking, traveling, crafts and is very open to new things! Coach Chaquon’ loves being a Soccer Shots Coach, because she gets to motivate and inspire children to do their best despite any obstacles they may face.
Coach Derrick has balanced being a Soccer Shots Coach, a husband, a father of 2, and being a Middle School Social Studies Teacher since the Spring of 2019! When he is not busy on the soccer field or with his family, he enjoys watching Harry Potter, eating Haribo Gummy Bears, and playing with his cat! His favorite part about being a Soccer Shots Coach is being able to have fun with our soccer friends!
Coach Jeff has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2014! He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Towson University and is an avid photographer. He is a dedicated father to his two children Duncan and Lily and has been married to his wife Dawn for over 25 years. Coach Jeff says if his friends at Soccer Shots can walk away with one thing, he wants them to remember to always give their best effort! He loves being able to teach and pass on his love for soccer while being entertaining and interactive with the children! His favorite part of coaching is seeing the kiddos in the scrimmage where they can use the skills they have been learning.
Coach Jon joined our team during the Summer of 2019! Bringing his silly and high enthusiasm to every class, his favorite part of coaching is getting to play soccer all day, everyday, and seeing the excitement the kids get when they score a goal, “it’s priceless!”. Coach Jon has a very unique background, with two Bachelor’s in Wildlife Conservation and Agriculture and Natural Resources, being a hotshot in California fighting wildfires, Personal Training certified, an officiant , and running a marathon in 3:32! When he is not coaching, running, or saving the world he enjoys reading & being with his wife Karen, or his dog, Toots & cat, Mitzi!
Coach Julia joined our team in the Summer of 2017! and lives in Windsor Mill, MD. She has a B.A. and M.S. in the Criminal Justice field and she is currently working at an Intensive Group Home for juveniles. Coach Julia loves to travel and see new all kinds of new places! Her favorite part about coaching is being able to teach youth soccer in a fun way and loves watching the children have a smile on their face when they are playing!
Meet Coach Kate! She joined Soccer Shots in Winter 2019. Coach Kate is a teacher and likes to workout, walk her 3 dogs and eat pizza in her spare time! Her bubbly fun personality, her background in education and her love for children and soccer makes her the perfect fit for Soccer Shots. She can’t wait to see children start to love the game as much as she does!
Coach Melinda has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2013, she is better known as “Coach M” to her soccer players. Coach Melinda is a loving mother of 2 boys and lives in Harford County. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to guide children through stages of development via the game of soccer. Coach M loves that our Soccer Shots curriculum disguises legitimate soccer skills as Fun or silly. Also expressing that the kids don’t even realize how much soccer or sportsmanship ‘content’ they are receiving. The children experience working on gross motor skills, coordination, and character development. Coach Melinda loves that we can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Coach Melissa was welcomed to our team in the Fall of 2018! Her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and a completion of a Primary Teaching Credential Program at California Lutheran University led her to become a middle school and Pre-K teacher.In Coach Melissa’s free time, she loves spending time with her 3 kids, husband and their big dog named Apollo! Her favorite part of being a coach is seeing the smiles and excitement on the kid’s faces as they play. Coach Melissa also loves seeing their confidence grow when they master a new skill. Even though it’s tough to choose, Coach Melissa’s favorite part of the curriculum would be scoring goals! She says seeing their faces light up when the soccer ball hits the back of the net is the best!
Coach Molly joined Soccer Shots in our Winter season of 2018 and is originally from Charleston, West Virginia. She completed her undergraduate schooling at the University of Akron and earned her BA in Psychology and minor in Child Development. Molly is pursing her MS in Child Life at Towson University. When Coach Molly isn’t hitting the books, she is either doing activities like hiking or completing puzzles! Molly is always excited to have fun with the kids and see how many goals they can score!
Coach Tammy joined us in the Summer season of 2019! She started as a Certified Chiropractic Assistant leading her to become a state and nationally Certified Massage Therapist. Coach Tammy has played soccer for 30 years and even had the great opportunity to play with Mia Hamm and on the Maryland ODP (Olympic Development Program) team. She has lived in Baltimore most of her life and a few years in Delaware. She loves her parrot named Sweetpea and is passionate about all animals. Her favorite hobbies are hiking, car shows, and attending Hot Rod events. She is extremely excited to help educate but most of all have fun!
Coach Noah started coaching with Soccer Shots during our 2018 Spring season. His favorite part of being a coach is personally embracing and embodying the theme because it allows the soccer players to imagine, create, and enter their own individually perceived realities. Coach Noah’s favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is the warm-up because that is when he is able to help his soccer friends immerse themselves in the theme of the session. Coach Noah is a busy bee while pursuing a B.S. in Economics with a focus on statistical analysis, working with Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, Towson University track team, and the Baltimore Ravens. When Coach Noah is not busy working or coaching he enjoys long runs with friends!
Coach Dean starting joined Soccer Shots in the Spring of 2019. Coach Dean is currently attending Morgan State University pursuing a B.S. in Social Work. Dean enjoys warm weather, the great outdoors, and loves reading and writing poetry. As a Soccer Shots Coach, Dean is excited to see the potential and growth in children’s skill level & personality while having fun!
Coach Paige joined the Soccer Shots coaching staff in the Fall 2019 season! She looks forward to making a connection with each child and teaching them valuable lessons. Paige currently attends Goucher College pursuing a French Major with an Education Minor. She really enjoys soccer, singing, roller skating and even lacrosse!
Coach Moises started coaching Soccer Shots in Fall 2019 season. He attended Ithaca College where he studied Film, Photography, and Visual Arts. Coach Moises enjoys playing soccer, working out, eating ice cream and hopes to one day visit the Colorado Mountains! Moises loves to work with the children and to help them grow and develop and learn to love soccer as much as he does!
Coach Steve joined the Soccer Shots coaching staff beginning with the Fall 2019 season. Originally from Queens, NY, Steve is a Physical Education teacher in Baltimore City. He looks forward to utilizing his teaching skill with children in Soccer Shots.
Coach Megan began working with Soccer Shots in the Fall 2019! She attended Frostburg State University where she studied Early Childhood and Elementary Education and is now a 5th grade teacher! When she is not teaching or coaching she enjoys reading and going to the beach!
Coach Kyle first brought his energetic coaching style to Soccer Shots in the Summer of 2019. Coach Kyle is pursuing a degree in Communications at Towson University. When he is not busy studying he is usually playing and watching basketball, or playing video games with his 2 older brothers. Coach Kyle always looks forward to encouraging his soccer players and raising their confidence!
Coach Suellen was welcomed to Soccer Shots in the Summer 2019 season! Suellen graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, with a BA in Psychology. She loves to visit Rome, Italy and enjoys running, cooking and singing. Suellen looks forward to having fun playing soccer, working with the kids and teaching them new skills each week!
Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Coach Dejahi joined our team in the Fall of 2019! He attends Towson University but when he is not studying he likes to cook, play soccer, watch movies and hang out with his family and friends! Coach Dejahi’s favorite part about Soccer Shots is helping children love and appreciate the sport as much as he does.
Coach Ilza was welcomed in the Fall of 2019! Joining us from the Republic of South-Africa, she loves to hike, cook and play with her 10 yr old daughter, 3 yr old son and their dog! She is eager to help each child succeed in the most basic of tasks throughout the sessions!
Meet Coach Bridget! She joined us during our Fall season of 2019! When Coach Bridget is not on the soccer field she enjoys reading, writing, going to concerts, studying fitness and health, and peanut butter banana sandwiches! Her favorite part of Soccer Shots is seeing the children’s smiles when they conquer a new skill!
Welcomed to the team during the Fall season of 2019, Coach Anna is excited she gets to be in a fun and active work environment while teaching a sport she loves. Anna is studying Exercise Science at Towson University. When she doesn’t have her head in the books she likes to paint, hike, kayak, and anything that involves the great outdoors!
Coach Emily started with Soccer Shots during the Fall season of 2019! She attends Towson University in the pursuit of a Marketing Major. Coach Emily likes to go to the beach, staying active, and hanging out with her family and friends! She is excited to work with kids and be able to bring some fun into their lives!
Coach Miranda joined our team in our Fall season of 2019 and consistently looks forward to teaching young kids how to have fun with team sports! Miranda attends Towson University studying HealthCare Management and enjoys pizza, catching up on tv shows, playing field hockey and hanging out with friends and family!
Coach Karina joined Soccer Shots during the Summer of 2019 and was most excited about sharing her love of soccer with the kiddos and also seeing them challenge themselves while having a fun time! When Coach Karina is not on soccer island she enjoys hiking with her puppy Milo and snacking on some guac and chips!
Joining us during our Fall season of 2019, Coach Alyssa was most eager to help kids grow confidence is their soccer skills and watching them apply these learned skills in everyday life! She is pursuing a degree in psychology and sociology with a minor in applied adult disability studies at Towson University. Coach Alyssa’s favorite place to visit is Disney World with her little brother and little sister!
Welcomed during the Winter 2019 season, Coach Isaiah was excited to share his love for soccer! When he is not coaching he enjoys pizza, watching Harry Potter, playing ping pong and frisbee with his brother and sister and 2 dogs! Coach Isaiah is currently attending Goucher College, and loves to visit the Outer Banks in North Carolina!
Coach Ellis joins us during our Winter season of 2019 from Hartford, Ct. and is currently enrolled at Goucher College pursuing a Political Science Degree! He enjoys playing guitar with his twin brothers and playing with his two dog! Coach Ellis’s loves to help and see the progression developing the kiddo’s soccer skills!

When Melissa is not busy coaching she enjoys staying active and hanging out with family and friends. Her favorite part about Soccer Shots is entertaining and being silly with the kiddos while teaching them and seeing them learn at the same time!
