Coach Amy was born and raised in Maryland. She graduated from Towson University with a degree in Mass Communications. She enjoys hiking, swimming, crafting and traveling to the mountains. Since joining Soccer Shots in spring 2019, Coach Amy, a mother of 2, has been seeking to inspire the soccer shots children through sport.
Coach Chaquon’ started with Soccer Shots in our winter 2019 season. She attended California Institute of the Arts & The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She studied Theatre Arts. She loves swimming, cooking, arts and crafts and is very open to new things. She loves being a Soccer Shots Coach, because she gets to motivate and inspire children to do their best despite obstacles.
Coach Derrick started with Soccer Shots in the Spring of 2019. He has a bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Teaching. He has a wife, 2 daughters, and a cat. One of his daughters loves participating in Soccer Shots at her preschool. He has a blast while coaching and loves to make soccer fun for his players.
Coach Jeff has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2014. Jeff has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Towson University and is an avid photographer. He is a dedicated father to his two children Duncan and Lily and has been married to his wife Dawn for 27 years. If the children he coaches at Soccer Shots can walk away with one thing, he wants them to remember to always give their best effort! He loves being able to teach kids the game he loves and he enjoys the interaction with the children he coaches; it is always entertaining! His favorite part of coaching is seeing the children in the scrimmage where they can use the skills they have been learning.
Julia lives in Windsor Mill, MD and started coaching with us in Summer 2017. She loves being able to teach youth soccer in a fun way. She has a B.A. and M.S. in the Criminal Justice field and she is currently working at an Intensive Group Home for juveniles. One of Julia’s favorite things to do is to travel and see new places. She enjoys the interactive games that are in the Soccer Shots curriculum and watching the children have a smile on their face when they are playing!
Kate started with Soccer Shots in Winter 2019. In her free time, Coach Kate likes to work out, walk her three dogs and cook…green eggs and ham! Her background is in education and her love for children and soccer makes her the perfect fit for Soccer Shots. She can’t wait to see children start to love the game as well.
Coach Melinda has been coaching with Soccer Shots Baltimore since 2013 and goes by “Coach M” to her soccer players. She coaches in Harford County and is a loving mother of two boys. She believes that a Soccer Shots coach has the privilege to guide children through stages of development via the game of soccer. She loves that our Soccer Shots curriculum disguises legitimate soccer skills as Fun or silly. The kids dont even realize how much soccer or sportsmanship ‘content’ they are receiving. They experience working on gross motor skills, coordination, and character development. We can teach them so many great things that come along with the game of soccer.
Welcome Coach Melissa to the Soccer Shots team! Her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and completion of a Primary Teaching Credential Program at California Lutheran University led her to teach middle school and Pre-K. In Coach Melissa’s free time, she loves spending time with her three kids, husband and their big dog named Apollo! Her favorite part of being a coach is seeing the smiles and excitement on the kid’s faces as they play. Coach Melissa also loves seeing their confidence grow when they master a new skill. Even though it’s a hard choice, Coach Melissa’s favorite part of the curriculum is scoring goals! She says seeing their faces light up when the soccer ball hits the back of the net is the best!
Coach Molly is originally from Charleston, West Virginia. She completed her undergraduate schooling at the University of Akron and earned her BA in Psychology and minor in Child Development. Currently, she is attending Towson University to obtain her MS in Child Life. When Coach Molly isn’t hitting the books, she is either doing activities like hiking or completing puzzles! Molly is so excited for the season to start so she can have fun with the kids and coach soccer!
Coach Tammy joined us in 2019. She has played soccer for 30 years She started as a Certified Chiropractic Assistant leading her to become a state and nationally Certified Massage Therapist. She had the great opportunity to play with Mia Hamm and on the Maryland ODP (Olympic Development Program) team. She has lived in Baltimore most of her life and a few years in Delaware. She loves her parrot named Sweetpea and is passionate about all animals. Her favorite hobbies are hiking, car shows, and attending Hot Rod events. She is extremely excited to join the Soccer Shots Team and can’t wait to help educate but most of all HAVE FUN!
Coach Noah started coaching with Soccer Shots during the 2018 Spring season. His favorite part of being a coach is personally embracing and embodying the theme because it allows the soccer players to imagine, create, and enter their own individually perceived realities. Coach Noah’s favorite part of the Soccer Shots curriculum is the warm-up because that is when he is able to help his soccer friends immerse themselves in the theme of the session. Noah is pursuing a B.S. in Economics with a focus on statistical analysis. Along with his Soccer Shots internship, Noah works with Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment, Towson University Athletics, and the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Noah is a running enthusiast and, although he is a track runner, he does enjoy the occasional long run with friends.
Coach Dean starting with Soccer Shots in the Spring of 2019. Dean is currently attending Morgan State University pursuing a B.S. in Social Work. Dean enjoys warm weather, outdoor things and loves reading and writing poetry. As a Soccer Shots Coach, Dean is excited to see the the children grow in skill & personality while having fun!
Coach Paige joined the Soccer Shots coaching staff in the Fall 2019 season! She looks forward to making a connection with each child and teaching them valuable lessons. Paige currently attends Goucher College and is a French Major and an Education Minor. She really enjoys soccer, singing, rollerskating and even lacrosse.
Coach Alex is from Bowie, Maryland and is attending Towson University for his Business Administration degree. Alex began coaching with Soccer Shots in the Fall 2019 season as an intern. When Alex isn’t in school, he loves to travel to Key West,FL. He is super excited for the season to start and to teach children the game of soccer!
Coach Moises started coaching Soccer Shots in Fall 2019 season. Moises loves to work with the children and to help them grow and develop. Moises loves to play soccer, and enjoys working out. One of his favorite snacks is ice cream and loves to go see and visit the Colorado Mountains.
Coach Steve joined the Soccer Shots coaching staff beginning with the Fall 2019 season. Originally from Queens, NY, Steve is a Physical Education teacher in Baltimore City. He looks forward to utilizing his teaching skill with children in Soccer Shots.
Coach Megan began working with Soccer Shots in the Fall 2019! Some of Coach Megans hobbies include reading, teaching 5th grade, going to Busch Gardens and also going to the beach. Coach Megan attended Frostburg State University and studied Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
Coach Kyle first brought his energetic coaching style to Soccer Shots in 2019. Kyle loves to play and watch basketball in his down time. He has to older brothers. Kyle attends Towson University and is studying Communications! He also loves to eat candy and chipotle.
Coach Brianna is from Olney, MD and attends UMBC studying Early Childhood Education. Brianna’s favorite part of coaching Soccer Shots is having fun and being silly while teaching soccer. She also loves reading her favorite book called “Milk and Honey”. Brianna has been coaching with Soccer Shots since the Fall 2018.
Coach Suellen was new to Soccer Shots in the Summer 2019 season! Suellen graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, with a BA in Psychology. She also loves to visit Rome, Italy and really enjoys running, cooking and singing. Suellen looks foward to having fun playing soccer, working with the kids and teaching them the new skills each week!
