Coach Patrick is our Executive Director and has been watching and playing soccer since he was a mini! Starting out as a Soccer Shots coach in 2017, Coach Patrick then stepped into the role of Director of Coaching in early 2018, and has served as our Executive Director since October of 2018. He played all the way up until high school and has not stopped watching. Coach Patrick graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Sport and Recreation Management. He has coached others since the age of fourteen in various sports, but soccer has always been his favorite.
Director of Operations
Coach Amanda is our Director of Operations and she grew up in Iowa, where she graduated from the University of Iowa with an Elementary Education degree. She has been teaching preschool in the Denver area since moving to Colorado in July of 2018. She loves working with students, and getting to be a fun and exciting part of their day! When she isn’t coaching soccer, she is outside climbing, hiking, or running!
Director of Coaching
Coach Dan is our Director of Coaching and grew up in Littleton, Colorado. He’s been playing soccer since he was 4 years old. While studying Sport Psychology at John F. Kennedy University in California, Coach Dan coached middle school soccer and various other sports but soccer has always been his favorite. While not on Soccer Island, Coach Dan enjoys playing soccer, golf, and basketball, hiking in the mountains, and playing with his dog Howie!
Director of Development
Coach Kevin is our Director of Development and he grew up in New York and has been playing soccer since he was 3 years old. He played throughout High School and played D1 with the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he majored in Hotel Management and minored in marketing. When Coach Kevin isn’t teaching or playing soccer, you can find him hiking most trails in Colorado, cheering on his favorite futbol team, Arsenal, cooking a great meal, camping, exploring and spending quality time with family and friends.
Coach Alli was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota. She played soccer all throughout her youth and high school years. She is currently a Senior at the University of Denver studying Marketing and Business Information Analytics. When she is not in school or coaching, she loves to spend time with friends and family, be active, and explore all the great places Denver has to offer. Allison is excited to help Soccer Shots friends learn valuable life lessons through soccer.
Coach Allison prides herself in being born and raised in Cleveland, OH. At an early age, she was lucky to have the opportunity to dabble in many sports. In high school, her speed was noticed on the soccer field, so she was rewarded a Track & Field Scholarship to compete at a collegiate level. She believes her childhood was an important role in developing skills as an athlete and learning valuable lessons of teamwork, determination, and respect. After graduating with a BA in Sociology, she moved to Denver to volunteer at a treatment center for children who have experienced abuse, trauma, or neglect. She is currently working towards a Masters of Social Work degree and hopes to make a positive impact in her communities. When she is not on Soccer Island, she enjoys being outside, eating ice cream, and hanging with friends.
Coach Cody was born in Colorado and has lived here for his entire life. He started playing soccer when he was 5 and played all the way through high school. When he’s not on Soccer Island, he loves doing stuff outdoors like hiking 14ers or going skiing and he’s super excited to help his new friends get better at soccer!
Coach Courtney is from Rochester, NY, and has been playing soccer since the age of five. Coach Courtney graduated with a bachelors in Exercise Science from the University of Georgia and a Masters in Physical Education from Springfield College. While not on soccer island, she pursues her passion for physical activity through running, rollerblading, snowboarding and hiking. Coach Courtney is excited to help her soccer friends build character and learn some new soccer skills!
Coach Dikesh was born and raised in Kathmandu Nepal, home of Mount Everest. He started playing soccer at just 4 years old, and it has been his passion ever since. He played for the under 19 national team of Nepal before moving to the United States, where he has coached soccer for over 10 years. When not on the soccer field, you can find him watching La Liga matches on weekend mornings, hiking, and camping with his wife and dog in the CO mountains, and learning guitar.
Coach Isis grew up in Lakewood, CO. She is so excited to be able to give back to our young Soccer Friends, helping them to experience the fun and joy that she got playing soccer as a little girl. Besides soccer, Coach Isis spends her time with her dog, Remi, going on hikes and visiting dog parks. Coach Isis is looking forward to meeting all her new Soccer Friends!
Coach Katie is a proud Colorado native, and has played soccer since the age of 5. After competitively playing soccer through club and high school, Coach Katie was granted a scholarship to Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. She graduated with a BA in Early Childhood Education, and has been teaching, coaching, and nannying for the past 13 years! It is important to her to provide a fun and safe environment for children to enjoy the game of soccer, and wants to encourage players of all skill levels to pursue their love of the game like she did! When she isn’t coaching, Katie enjoys the amazing live music scene that Denver has to offer!
Coach Kendra was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She started playing sports at a young age, but found soccer was her true passion! She went on to join Chicago Fire Juniors soccer team and played throughout high school. After that, she began her journey in getting a degree for Early Childhood Education. She moved to Colorado in 2019 to become a preschool teacher & nanny. When not on the soccer field, you can find Coach Kendra hiking, going to the gym, or spending time with friends and family!
Coach Lex was born and raised in Denver. She started playing soccer in kindergarten and started coaching when her oldest daughter started playing 8 years ago. Her daughters, Kory and Kendra, are both currently playing soccer. When she isn’t coaching with Soccer Shots Lex is teaching preschool in Aurora or coaching three soccer teams, U8-U12. Seeing players develop their skills and gain the confidence to try new things are two of the reasons why she loves coaching. During her free time Coach Lex enjoys spending time with her family and working out.
Coach Mary was born on the east coast in New Jersey and has lived in Pennsylvania most of her life. She loves all sports and played soccer in high school. She graduated from The University of Dallas with an English degree in May 2019, and moved to Denver in September 2019 to be near the mountains. She loves being outdoors, playing tennis, having fun with her dogs and friends, and she is especially excited to have fun with all her Soccer Friends!
Coach Michelle is a graduate from Colorado State University. She grew up in sports, playing AAA hockey the majority of her athletic career, moving on to play in college. She is a hard-working, caring, and kind role-model to those around her, especially the kids she influences. Coach Michelle is excited to share her passion for soccer with her new Soccer Friends! When she isn’t coaching her soccer friends, Michelle enjoys playing music, spending time with her dog, and coaching girls ice hockey.
Coach Pabel was born in the Peruvian Andes. He has been playing soccer since he was 4 years old. He loves to play soccer. He has been recognized as the MVP in different amateur leagues. He taught soccer at Overland High School. In his free time he enjoys playing pickup soccer, running and playing tennis.
Coach Parker was raised in New Hampshire and moved to Colorado in 2016. He fell in love with soccer since he participated in youth camps (like Soccershots)! He continued to play soccer into college. When Coach Parker is not on Soccer Island, he likes to golf, play tennis, and grill. He also loves spending time in the beautiful Colorado mountains. Coach Parker is so excited to teach all his young Soccer Friends all about the game of soccer!
Coach Shelby was born and raised in Colorado. She has played soccer competitively since the age of 8 and stopped her soccer career when she moved to Florida to study at Stetson University under their biology department. She recently moved back to Colorado and is continuing her education with Denver School of Nursing. Outside of Soccer Shots, Coach Shelby enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs! Coaching has shed light on the importance of childhood development, how special these classes are and the positive impact Coach Shelby has on all of her soccer friends. Coach Shelby’s goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all the children in Soccer Shots!
Coach Tia, a native to Northern California, began playing soccer at a very young age. Her soccer career continued from high school into community college and then later to the University of Sioux Falls. She taught in soccer camps, preschool and aftercare, and nannied for numerous families, which has developed her love for children and watching them learn new things and grow. Tia’s passion for both soccer and kids has made it an easy decision to join Soccer Shots! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking or baking, traveling, and of course playing soccer when she can!
Coach Zach was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but grew up in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Anthropology. He moved to Golden, CO during the fall of 2019 with his wife, Lilly. Soccer is his favorite sport, and he has been playing since he was 3 years old! Coach Zach aspires to teach his soccer friends new skills and concepts they can use to be better students of life and soccer. While not on Soccer Island, Coach Zach spends his time playing soccer, mountain biking, skiing, watching movies, and hiking with his dog Sebastian!
Coach Paul grew up in Denver Colorado. He has been playing soccer since he was 5. He competed through highschool, and has continued to play for fun since. While he was studying Geology at Colorado College, he taught skiing and learned he loved to teach kids to be confident through sport. He is excited to transition from a player to a coach in his first year as a coach at Soccer Shots!
Coach Paris was born and raised in Golden Colorado. She grew up playing soccer from a young age and now enjoys playing soccer and other sports with her 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Coach Pairs will be graduating from the University of Colorado Denver with degrees in Spanish and Business in the spring of 2021. When she graduates she hopes to continue enriching the lives of children especially in the Spanish language and culture. When she is not playing soccer or exploring the outdoors she loves baking a good chocolate cake and sharing it with her friends and family.
