Director of Coaching
Coach Katie is our Director of Coaching. She has not only played soccer since she was 3, but has also coached several soccer teams of different ages over the last several years. Katie has been coaching for Soccer Shots since 2017, and she is very excited to teach the game of soccer to all her friends on Soccer Island!
Director of Operations
Coach Amanda is our Director of Operations and she grew up in Iowa, where she graduated from the University of Iowa with an Elementary Education degree. Prior to joining Soccer Shots in May of 2018, Coach Amanda served as a lead preschool teacher in Denver, CO. She loves working with students, and getting to be a fun and exciting part of their day! When she isn’t coaching soccer, she is outside climbing, hiking, or running!
Coach Alex has a passion for the game of soccer and is excited to share the game with young players. Coach Alex has played soccer since the age of 3, from preschool YMCA programs to Club soccer. He also played for his high school as a goalie. Coach Alex enjoyed participating in a teacher cadet program with 1st graders in 2015 and is currently attending GTCC. When Coach Alex is not coaching on Soccer Island, you can find him watching Chelsea games, camping, biking, and playing FIFA.
Coach Amanda has been playing soccer since she was 3 years old and started playing competitive soccer at the age of 6 on a U9 team! At the age of 14, she had to stop playing competitive soccer due to a back injury, and since then has been playing soccer for fun before moving to coaching. In her free time, Coach Amanda enjoys traveling, playing with animals, and watching movies. She is excited to play soccer with all of her friends!
Coach Bradly has been playing soccer since the age of 6, from YMCA programs to Club soccer. In addition to playing, he has also coached several seasons of middle school soccer. In his free time, Coach Brad enjoys watching Real Madrid games, swimming and traveling to new places. He is excited to play soccer with all of his friends on Soccer Island.
Coach Emily has played soccer since she was four years old. She has played on many club teams and now plays for Greensboro College where she is studying Child Psychology. While she is not playing or coaching she likes to go hiking, swimming, and play with her dogs. Coach Emily cannot wait to share her love of soccer with her new friends!
Coach Jade started playing softball at a young age, but then quickly realized soccer was her true passion. She started playing for the YMCA in fourth grade and progressed over the years to play travel soccer for PTFC. She has played many other sports over the years and was her high school’s captain for field hockey. Currently, Coach Jade is playing for an adult soccer league and is excited to start coaching on Soccer Island. Off the field, you can find her watching Disney movies or hiking.
Coach Jasmine has played soccer since she was 4 years old. She recently graduated from Salem College with her B.S. in Exercise Science, where she played soccer for all 4 years. If you don’t see Coach Jasmine on Soccer Island you can catch her taking pictures of her puppy, watching the best soccer team in the world…Barcelona, or traveling to random places of the world. She cannot wait to make so many new soccer friends!
Coach Justin has played soccer since he was four years old. He played on many club soccer teams while growing up in Raleigh. He graduated from Campbell University with a sports management degree. When he is not coaching he likes to play sports, kayak, and play with his dog Blueberry. Coach Justin is thrilled to share his love of soccer with his new friends!
Coach Kailey grew up in Parkersburg, WV and has been playing soccer since she was 3 years old! She played competitively on multiple travel teams and was captain of her varsity soccer team in high school. She recently graduated from High Point University with a B.S. in Exercise Science with a Concentration in Health and Wellness and a B.A. in Biology. She now attends UNCG and is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Health. She loves being outdoors, travelling, and looks forward to meeting all of her new friends!
Coach Kailyn is a graduate from UNC -Greensboro where she studied French and Political Science, as well as played on the UNCG Women’s soccer team. Coach Kailyn started playing soccer at the age of 3 and has only grown more passionate and in love with the game throughout the years. Off the field, Coach Kailyn enjoys being active, whether it’s travelling, hiking with her dog, or running races. Coach Kailyn loves meeting new people and can’t wait to play the beautiful game of soccer with many new Friends!
Coach Kathryn is a student at Greensboro College where she is studying criminal justice and psychology, with minors in Spanish and legal administration. Coach Kathryn has been playing soccer for 15 years and is currently a captain of the Greensboro College Women’s Soccer team. Aside from soccer, Coach Kathryn loves to sing and to travel. Soccer has always been a huge part of Coach Kathryn’s life, and she is so excited to help grow the game and share her passion for the sport with her Soccer friends!
Coach Madi is a student at Greensboro College where she is studying Exercise and Sport Studies with a concentration in Exercise Science. She has played soccer for 15 years and is currently playing soccer at Greensboro College. Besides soccer Coach Madi loves to paint, and play games. She is looking forward to sharing her love of soccer for the game with all her Soccer Friends!
Coach Ryan has loved soccer since he was 6 years old. He played for many different leagues growing up and was recruited to play on a U12 team when he was just 9 years old! He played soccer all through middle school when he then started playing basketball. He came back to soccer as a coach in 2012 and truly feels like coaching soccer is his career path! He holds a U.S.S.F National “D” license with plans to continue his education and dreams of coaching in the MLS. In his free time, you can find him watching soccer, playing video games, or making Youtube videos!
Coach Vicky, originally from England, moved to North Carolina in 2016 to get a degree in Special Education. She developed her love for soccer at 3 years old. She played for numerous clubs including 3 in the top division in the country. During her time playing she started coaching and has been doing it for many years. She wants to share her love for soccer through fun games on Soccer Island.
