Coaching and Program Coordinator
Born in Havana, Cuba, raised in Toronto and then relocated to Milton at the age of 12, Coach Eros has a Bachelors degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Sports Management. Eros has an extensive soccer background as both a player and a coach. Eros was introduced to soccer at the age of 3 and it has been his passion ever since. Eros played the majority of his youth soccer with the North Mississauga Panthers and then Toronto FC’s Academy during their inaugural season. After graduating from high school at Bishop Reding, he moved on to play soccer at Manhattanville College in New York on a scholarship and was also part of Milltowne FC. Eros has nearly 10 years of coaching experience at the youth, competitive, and university levels in both Canada and the United States. Eros enjoys enriching, developing and building up the lives of youth through soccer.
Coach Sydney was born and raised in Burlington and soccer was her very first sport! After playing five years of soccer, she began to play hockey throughout the winter season as well. Faced with the tough decision of only pursuing one sport, Sydney began her journey with the Burlington Barracudas where she played competitively for eight years! Throughout this time, Sydney was also involved in school sports such as Track & Field, Basketball, Volleyball and Rugby. Sydney is currently in her fourth year of studies in the Concurrent Education Program at Brock University and will begin her adventure in Teacher’s College in the Fall. During her time at Brock, she has had various elementary school placements and participated in various volunteer initiatives within both the Halton and Niagara regions. Through personal experience, Sydney internalizes what an influential role both coaches and teachers have on children and never takes this influence for granted. Sydney is thrilled to be representing Soccer Shots in her spiffy orange jersey and is eager to bring her spunky personality to Soccer Island!
Coach Alex K
Coach Alex has been passionate about soccer from the age of 4. She began playing recreationally with the North Mississauga Soccer Club and transitioned to playing rep soccer at 8 years old. Alex went on to play for her high school team as well as at the university level in Canada and the United States. She has always loved the game of soccer and now wants to help educate the youth through the knowledge, values and skills she learned through soccer. Alex loves working alongside children and has been doing so through the game of soccer and volunteering at hospitals. Alex enjoys helping children build their confidence and is so excited to combine both of her passions: soccer and children!
Born and raised in Mississauga, Coach Stephanie has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old. She started by picking flowers in the field while her teammates played, but eventually progressed to the point of playing competitively for over a decade. Stephanie played for the varsity women’s soccer team at Ryerson University while successfully completing her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. Stephanie appreciates and credits many of her accomplishments to her coaches, teachers, and parents as these role models gave her inspiration to accomplish all she has in her life. She recognizes the importance of a good role model in a child’s life, and takes pride in the role she’s been able to provide for her younger family members, and she is very excited to make a positive impact on the children she help’s develop through Soccer Shots!
Julia is a young charismatic individual who loves children and soccer. She has spent most of her life helping, serving, and volunteering in her community and church to give children a positive experience any way she can. Julia has played soccer her entire life and loves being part of a team. She is so grateful and excited to have the opportunity to positively impact children through soccer!
Born and raised in Mississauga, Zen has been playing soccer since he was 4 years old. He was able to win the Ontario Cup with Oakville Soccer Club and currently plays with Sigma FC in League 1. Zen has always participated in athletics with his school teams such as: swimming, basketball, volleyball, and football. He loves working with children and enjoys seeing them have fun, grow and develop through the game of soccer. Zen currently studies Business Administration at the university of Guelph-Humber.
Kinga moved to Canada at the age of 10 and instantly her family enrolled her into soccer. She played soccer throughout her youth in Guelph and grew to love the game. She was on the Athletic Council in university and played many different intramural sports. Kinga has organized soccer tournaments for ALS the past 5 years to raise awareness and funds for research. She is a proud mother of two and loves teaching children. She loves soccer and doing anything outdoors!
Brian has been playing soccer since he was six years old. He has a great passion for the beautiful game and wants to pass on that passion to the youth through Soccer Shots. Brian is studying Social Work and plans to help children with his education. He is excited to help develop children through soccer!
Yasmine was born and raised in Edmundston, New Brunswick. She started playing soccer at the age of three and played every summer until high school. Throughout her childhood she also did figure skating, basketball, and swimming. She studied kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick and coached children soccer at the local YMCA. Yasmine is currently studying Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College and spends her free time coaching young children who are eager to learn and have fun!
Coach Faryn was born in Mississauga, but grew up in Milton for most of her life playing rep soccer with the Milton Magic. She also spent her winters playing competitive ringette in the city of Mississauga and then for her university team in Guelph, where she is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in history and English. Coach Faryn has her sights on teachers college next year and is looking forward to having a lasting impact on the children she coaches!
Raph was raised in Mississauga and at the age of six started playing soccer for the Mississauga Falcons. The sport instilled life skills like teamwork, communication, respect, and leadership in her and this resulted in a love for the game that continues to develop as she coaches young children. Raph graduated from the University of Guelph with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy. She is now working towards becoming a teacher and attends the University of Toronto as she pursues her Masters of Education. Raph has always been a fan of soccer and is very much looking forward to sharing her love for the game with children she coaches and helps through Soccer Shots!
