Coaching and Program Coordinator
Born in Havana, Cuba, raised in Toronto and then relocated to Milton at the age of 12, Coach Eros has a Bachelors degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Sports Management. Eros has an extensive soccer background as both a player and a coach. Eros was introduced to soccer at the age of 3 and it has been his passion ever since. Eros played the majority of his youth soccer with the North Mississauga Panthers and then Toronto FC’s Academy during their inaugural season. After graduating from high school at Bishop Reding, he moved on to play soccer at Manhattanville College in New York on a scholarship and was also part of Milltowne FC. Eros has nearly 10 years of coaching experience at the youth, competitive, and university levels in both Canada and the United States. Eros enjoys enriching, developing and building up the lives of youth through soccer.
Coach Lyneya was born in Toronto, and raised in Oshawa. She grew up playing multiple sports, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track and field. Lyneya has a strong passion for working with children and has been doing so for the past 8 years in various capacities, ranging from child care to a summer camp supervisor. Lyneya enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. Currently, Lyneya is studying at Brock Univerity, working towards her degree in Child Health.
Coach Alex F
Born and raised in Toronto, Coach Alex has recently made the big move to Milton! When Alex isn’t positively impacting the lives of the toddlers at her job at a daycare centre, she’s wearing her orange Soccer Shots jersey and enriching the lives of young children throughout Halton. She loves being able to play such an essential role in children’s lives! Alex has over 6 years of experience coaching young children soccer and basketball and loves it more and more every day. Alex went to college and studied to become a mechanic!During her spare time, Alex enjoys running track, playing basketball and working on cars, especially her own. She’s very excited to leave a lasting, positive impact on the children she coaches at Soccer Shots!
Coach Sydney was born and raised in Burlington and soccer was her very first sport! After playing five years of soccer, she began to play hockey throughout the winter season as well. Faced with the tough decision of only pursuing one sport, Sydney began her journey with the Burlington Barracudas where she played competitively for eight years! Throughout this time, Sydney was also involved in school sports such as Track & Field, Basketball, Volleyball and Rugby. Sydney is currently in her fourth year of studies in the Concurrent Education Program at Brock University and will begin her adventure in Teacher’s College in the Fall. During her time at Brock, she has had various elementary school placements and participated in various volunteer initiatives within both the Halton and Niagara regions. Through personal experience, Sydney internalizes what an influential role both coaches and teachers have on children and never takes this influence for granted. Sydney is thrilled to be representing Soccer Shots in her spiffy orange jersey and is eager to bring her spunky personality to Soccer Island!
Coach Mel was born and raised in Burlington and has always had a passion for sports. She loves playing soccer, hockey, basketball, and running! Mel started playing hockey and soccer at the age of 5 and also played basketball in high school. Mel continued playing sports into her teenage years as she played high school basketball and hockey at Corpus Christi and rep soccer in Oakville. Mel also played hockey on the Bulldogs’ select boy’s team in Burlington. She started working with children at Wave Sport’s development camp and loved helping youth develop. In addition to her work with Soccer Shots, Mel is also a personal trainer at Goodlife Fitness. She gives credit to her previous coaches for inspiring her to become a coach and trainer. She wants to use her leadership skills to help the children she works with grow into the extraordinary people we all know they can be!
Coach Alex K
Coach Alex has been passionate about soccer from the age of 4. She began playing recreationally with the North Mississauga Soccer Club and transitioned to playing rep soccer at 8 years old. Alex went on to play for her high school team as well as at the university level in Canada and the United States. She has always loved the game of soccer and now wants to help educate the youth through the knowledge, values and skills she learned through soccer. Alex loves working alongside children and has been doing so through the game of soccer and volunteering at hospitals. Alex enjoys helping children build their confidence and is so excited to combine both of her passions: soccer and children!
Born and raised in Mississauga, Coach Stephanie has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old. She started by picking flowers in the field while her teammates played, but eventually progressed to the point of playing competitively for over a decade. Stephanie played for the varsity women’s soccer team at Ryerson University while successfully completing her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. Stephanie appreciates and credits many of her accomplishments to her coaches, teachers, and parents as these role models gave her inspiration to accomplish all she has in her life. She recognizes the importance of a good role model in a child’s life, and takes pride in the role she’s been able to provide for her younger family members, and she is very excited to make a positive impact on the children she help’s develop through Soccer Shots!
From an early age, Madi has been active in a number of sports such as: gymnastics, hockey, and soccer. At the age of 8, her overwhelming passion for soccer kicked in and she chose to focus solely on that sport. She is now in her 15th year of playing and still has the same love and passion as when she started. Over the last 7 years, Madi has volunteered helping children at various skill levels develop and play soccer for North Mississauga Soccer Club, Clarkson Soccer Club, Mississauga Falcon Soccer Club and the Special Olympics. Currently, Madi is a member of the Sheridan Burins Varsity Women’s Soccer Team, and continues to train with North Mississauga Soccer Club. She is enrolled in the Early Childhood Program at Sheridan College, and will graduate in 2022 with her Bachelor of Education Leadership.
Julia is a young charismatic individual who loves children and soccer. She has spent most of her life helping, serving, and volunteering in her community and church to give children a positive experience any way she can. Julia has played soccer her entire life and loves being part of a team. She is so grateful and excited to have the opportunity to positively impact children through soccer!
Mackenzie was born and raised in Burlington and has been playing soccer since she was five years old. She played soccer all through school as well as during the summer with an organization called Reach Forth. Mackenzie is currently in school for Community and Justice Services and hopes to one day further her education into the Criminal Behavioral Analysist field. Mackenzie has volunteered in her local community by helping her elementary school with their annual Track and Field days. Mackenzie is excited to join Soccer Shots and be able to incorporate character skills all the while during learning soccer skills!
