Coach Joe was born and raised right here in Las Vegas. He started playing soccer at the age of 3 and played all the way up till his freshman year in high school, where he continued his fantastic career in football. After high school, Coach Joe played quarterback at UNLV until sidelined by an injury. He is currently working on his Bachelors Degree in Psychology. He has a passion to coach our youth with lessons both on and off the field. When he’s not coaching he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, outdoor sports, and traveling.
Coach Michaela is our most recent addition to the Soccer Shots Henderson team. She moved to Las Vegas when she was 13 after spending her early years in Washington. She grew up playing club soccer and played for Sierra Vista High School. She went to community college in Washington and recently transferred to UNLV where’s she’s majoring in Kinesiology. When Michaela’s not coaching or playing soccer, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family.
Coach Herbert moved from California to Las Vegas 12 years ago and loves living here. He started playing soccer at the age of 2; from youth leagues to high school, college, and professional. After an ACL injury at the age of 24, he stopped playing and transitioned into coaching. He has more than 35 years of experience as a soccer coach, running soccer programs for children, youth and adults. Coach Herbert has coaching certificates from United States Soccer Federation, Ajax FC, and Real Madrid C.F. He loves working with children because he can teach them to learn sports, have fun, and watch them grow and discover this beautiful game. When he’s not coaching or working, he spends his time watching soccer games and discovering the natural beauty of Las Vegas and nearby places, mountains, and lakes with his wife.
