Coach Craig M.
Craig is originally from Glasgow, Scotland. He has played soccer his whole life at the professional youth level before an injury affected his ability to play. So, naturally wanting to stay involved in the game, he turned all of his focus to coaching. His main passion has always been sports – soccer in particular. His goal is to complete the remainder of his UEFA coaching licenses and start coaching in a Club Academy before moving on to the professional level.
Coach Mario T.
Mario was born and raised here in Los Angeles. He grew up in a family where each and every weekend revolved around watching or playing the beautiful game of soccer. With a true passion to teach, he thought Soccer Shots would be a great place to incorporate both of his passions. Master Coach Mario has a real passion for teaching and positively influencing young lives; he believes that a mentor/teacher/coach has the ability and responsibility to help young minds develop into competent caring global citizens. In his free time, you can catch his trying out new outdoor activities. He loves to workout, go hiking, swimming and cycling. Most recently he has been captivated by how fun Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is and hopes in the near future to start training Muay Thai. Mario notes that he is quite a curious person. He says if he reads or hears about something that interests him, he will go all-in to learn as much as possible about the matter in a very short period of time.
Coach Sheila H.
Master Coach Sheila is originally from the San Fernando Valley. She attended Tehachapi High School and acquired 12 ECE Units through Saddleback College. Her family has been LA Galaxy season ticket holders for over 7 years and they really enjoy playing soccer together; this led her to a career interest in soccer. Sheila is very passionate about supporting those who face challenges in their daily – which seamlessly relates to supporting young children. Visiting schools, helping children build character and develop physically and emotionally has been a treasured reward for her. Her goal is to take this humbling education with her throughout her entire career. Sheila enjoys spending virtually all of her free time with her husband, daughter and extended family. An interesting fact about Coach Sheila is her and her family tend to a minimal farm at home- where they keep chickens, fruit trees and a garden. They enjoy giving their chickens admirable names such as Margaret Hatcher and Roost Bader Hensburg.
In addition to Soccer Shots, Coach Alexander is passionate about Fashion and Graphic Design. In his free time, he likes to make clothes!
Favorite childhood memory playing sports? Almost winning the State Cup.
Favorite places to eat? Italian, Mexican, or ramen.
Coach Allie is from San Marino California. She currently attends Pasadena City College and is majoring in early childhood development. She has always loved working with children. She starter her own slime company in 2017 and was working with children for two years. This is what lead her to desire to work with children from there on out. Coach Allie says she has played soccer since she could walk. She says that being on the field, in possession of the ball, dribbling it towards the goal is a high-adrenaline crazy feeling. She really looked up to her soccer coaches when she was little, and looked forward to seeing them during practice. She wants the children of Soccer Shots to feel the same way. In her free time she enjoys working on her car; she is a huge car enthusiast. She actually tries to attend car shows once a month.
In addition to Soccer Shots Ana works as a Playground Supervisor/Trainer for Youth Services/LAUSD. She coaches children for tournaments in different sports, assists with homework, and encourages healthy eating and exercising.
Favorite fruits and vegetables? Bananas, mangoes, watermelon, spinach, kale, carrots, and edamame.
Relevant degrees or training? BA in Liberal Studies; currently working on a Child Development certification.
What does Coach Andy love most about Soccer Shots? The energy level that’s created and shared!

Fun Facts? Coach Andy plays ice hockey. In his free time, he enjoys a good game of golf.
What did you do before Soccer Shots? I played Collegiate soccer and got an Athletic Training degree.
What do you like to do in your free time? Go thrift shopping or hiking!
Favorite movie as a child/now? Brother Bear when I was a child, and Black Panther now.
Coach Ben was previously an athletics coach for an after school program and is excited to blend his skills and experience with the positive environment at Soccer Shots!

What do you love about Soccer Shots? The enthusiasm and positivity!
Favorite childhood memory playing sports? Playing at the Community Center with other children.
Any other fun facts about you? Degree in Education, lived in Japan for 4 years, and love to draw!
Coach Cat loves Soccer Shots because we get to be as silly as possible every day, with amazing, fabulous children!
Relevant degrees or training? Certified child yoga instructor, Social and emotional arts instructor through UCLA Arts and Healing, CPR/First Aid certified. Cat has also worked with City Year Los Angeles in an elementary school in Watts, and as a camp counselor at Brave Trails, Camp Galileo, and Camp Aranu’tiq.
Other fun facts? Coach Cat never wears matching socks (ever).
Coach Christen S.
Christen is from New Jersey, specifically South Jersey. She says, “If you know, you know”. She studied at a couple of Universities, which she says is because she has always embraced change and has never been afraid to change her mind. She played collegiate soccer at both Kutztown University and Montclair State University, where she finally settled at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Christen grew up playing multiple sports and soccer is the first memory she has of playing on a sports team with a coach. She loves to help people, both children, and adults. She loves sharing her knowledge and assisting in their personal growth. She would love to continue to find new ways to do this. Christen is a certified yoga teacher and enjoys being a student and exploring the practice and living a healthy and active life. She really enjoys playing both soccer and basketball recreationally and competitively. In 2019, Christen checked a bucket list item off where she went to Paris and saw the US Women’s team beat France in the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
In addition to Soccer Shots, where Dana enjoys the positive impact on children’s lives, Coach Dana studies photography and attends Film School.
Favorite childhood memory playing sports? Coach Dana traveled to Australia to play soccer.
Other fun facts? Coach Dana likes to snowboard and hike!
Coach Drew loves Soccer Shots because he sincerely loves working with children, and watching their minds work when attempting to learn new skills. It brings him joy when a child’s face lights up after he or she has learned something new, and was able to successfully complete it.
In addition to Soccer Shots Coach Drew works for a talent agency called The Gersh Agency, where he is working to become an agent.

Coach Elvis V.
Elvis was born and raised in Los Angeles. He attended Los Angeles Mission College in Mission Hills, and is currently working on a film degree at California State University of Northridge. He has been playing soccer all his life, and coaching it part-time for five years. In his free time, Elvis loves to hit the gym, hike, play sports, cook, make movies, and watch movies. Something notable about him is that he feels that he has a great sense of humor and loves to go out, and surround himself with nothing but good vibes. Coach Elvis notes himself on being a very social guy.
Enya graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University. She majored in Communications with a focus in Sports. She has been been an athlete her entire life; beginning at the young age of five and participating in multiple sports ranging from track and field, soccer, dance and swimming. She always knew she would end up in a career revolving round sports. Her goals in life are to become a sports reporter and to also give back to the youth in her country, Guyana, through sports programs. She enjoys traveling and staying active by working out at the gym, hiking and yoga. She has traveled to Greece, Paris, England, Antigua, Brazil and Hawaii.
What did you do before Soccer Shots? Played professional soccer.
Coach Erik loves Soccer Shots because he can have a positive impact on children’s lives while teaching them how fun soccer is.

Any fun facts about you? Nope. I’m boring! Just kidding! I love martial arts, crystals, & nature. I have an E license for coaching.
Favorite places to eat? My kitchen. I like to cook!
What do you love about Soccer Shots? I love how we can make a positive impact on children through sports.
Favorite fruits and vegetables? Fruits: Watermelon, apples, grapes. Vegetables: potatoes, carrots.
What do you like to do in your free time? I like going out with friends, grabbing a bite to eat, and watching movies!
Prior to joining the Soccer Shots Team, Coach Julie earned her Bachelor’s degree at Long Beach State. Julie is also the proud mother of two children. She enjoys playing with them in her free time.
Julie loves Soccer Shots because the coaching, communication, and curriculum are filled with positivity!

Coach Kyle K.
Kyle is originally from Rancho Palos Verdes, California. He attended The American University of Paris where his focus was in Literature and Creative Writing. Coach Kyle has been playing soccer since the age of 4 and it has always been his favorite thing to do. He doesn’t just love playing, but he also loves watching, coaching, analyzing, reading about its cultural and political impact of it over the years. Kyle’s main goal is to spread happiness in the world through soccer. In addition to his apparent passion for soccer, he enjoys watching Arsenal Football Club and hanging out with his dog. He also enjoys going to different cultural and artistic events around LA; listening to good music and really appreciating life. An interesting fact about Coach Kyle is that he was an improv comedy performer in Paris.
What do you love about Soccer Shots? Interacting with young children through soccer.
Relevant degrees or training? Community service at local elementary schools. Won a championship with AYSO!
Any other fun facts about you? Huge sports fan– I follow LA teams and top European soccer teams. I love watching sports and working out in my free time.
What did you do before Soccer Shots? Coach Melissa played soccer in college, where she obtained a BA and a minor in sociology. Melissa has experience coaching soccer and experience in education as a teacher’s aid for second grade students.
Coach Melissa loves Soccer Shots because she can pursue her passion of providing soccer coaching to children.
Favorite foods, fruits and vegetables? Coach Melissa loves mangos, bell peppers, raspberries and strawberries. As a foodie, you can usually find her at her favorite taco stands!
Nadia is from San Luis Obispo, California. She is retrieving her degree in Educational Studies online from Arizona State University. She has spent the majority of her life playing soccer and misses playing the sport, but is very excited each day to teach children persistence, confidence, and teamwork in such an engaging environment! In her free time, you can find Nadia rock climbing, swimming in the ocean, or at home baking something delicious. She really loves to travel, also!
Saul was born in Mexico City and moved to the US when he was three years old. He attended Santa Monica Community College and graduated with honors and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Social and Behavioral Science. He will be obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Northridge, in Child and Adolescent Development. In addition, he will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in the Field of social work. Coach Saul has played soccer his whole life; he comes from a soccer background where his whole family plays. From experience playing, he knows that having a good coach is important in the development of children. One of his goals in life is to obtain his Master’s degree and be able to help his family. He dreams to open a center for urban youth and give them resources and opportunities to succeed. Two dreams of his are: to buy his dream car, a Nissan GTR, and to also create his own soccer club for children all of ages ranging from 2-19. In his free time, he likes to listen to music and play video games. The thing that brings him the most joy is playing with his little brothers and just hanging out with them in general. Something interesting about Saul is that he has gotten knee surgery twice on the same knee.
Coach Thomas loves Soccer Shots because he enjoys that the Soccer Shots curriculum places an emphasis on character development and skill building.
