Meet The Coaches

We are proud to have the best coaches in youth soccer.

Maggie

Maggie

Coach

Maggie is studying at UBC in the faculty of Arts, and is looking forward to becoming an elementary school teacher when she completes her degree. She speaks fluent Cantonese, is working as a program leader for Burnaby MoreSports and has facilitated various physical literacy programs at the YMCA. She loves being physically active, especially running. Maggie’s favourite thing about working with our little Soccer Stars is finding some way to make their day and make them smile.

Tyler

Tyler

Coach

Tyler is currently attending Douglas college; studying kinesiology and looking forward to being a physiotherapist in the near future. Tyler is not only fluent in English, but fluent in sign language! Tyler spends a lot of time curling, running, and doing outdoor activities. Tylers favourite thing about Soccer Shots is working with our little soccer stars and knowing that he can influence their passion for the game and putting a smile on their face.

Amanda

Amanda

Coach

Amanda loves to be active; she has participated in track and field and has been playing soccer since she was 9 years old. Amanda currently plays Women’s Premier League and has most recently committed to play on the SFU women’s soccer team. At SFU, Amanda plans to study sciences. Being a coach at Soccer Shots, Amanda has had the chance to encourage young kids to get outside and be active. Amanda truly enjoys Soccer Shots as she believes it teaches young and enthusiastic children the skills of soccer through fun activities that also emphasize character development.

Olivia

Olivia

Coach

Olivia is currently enrolled at Simon Fraser University in the health sciences stream with current aspirations to work in the health care system. Since she can remember, Olivia has played soccer. Thus, Olivia enjoys playing soccer in both recreational and competitive environments while also coaching the next generation. Olivia loves soccer shots due to its emphasis on character development; ensuring each child learns more than just soccer skills.

Mackenzie

Mackenzie

Coach

Entering her senior year of high school, Mackenzie loves to do anything that involves exercise. She has an immense passion for music and has a long-term goal of entering the field of music therapy. Mackenzie chose soccer shots because she loves knowing that she is helping children not only learn new skills of a sport but also assist them in their growth as people.

Julia

Julia

Coach

Julia has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old and continues to play at a high level in the Metro Women’s Soccer League. Julia is working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, with the hopes of becoming a paediatric nurse. She is passionate about working with children and helping them build character. Julia loves working for Soccer Shots, not only because it’s a fun environment to work in, but each week the children get to learn important values.

Nicholas

Nicholas

Coach

Nicholas is currently enrolled at the University of the Fraser Valley working to obtain his Bachelors in Kinesiology; aspiring to be a physiotherapist one day. Nicholas loves working in environments with people. Nicholas chose soccer shots because he is able to share his passion for soccer through a fun, positive environment that promotes the whole well-being of the child; physically, emotionally, and socially.
