“Soccer has always been a part of my life!” Coach Erik began playing at four years old; the same age as many of the kiddos he is now coaching. Throughout his life he has always found ways to stay involved with the game including playing for his church, various competitive teams, and his high school. He has been with Soccer Shots since 2014. Coach Erik is currently at the University of Missouri – Columbia in the School of Health Professions working towards a doctorate of Physical Therapy where he aspires to work at the pediatric level as a physical therapist. He is also involved in various student leadership roles. Coach Erik’s continued passion for soccer and fondness for children make being a coach a perfect fit. “I love being a coach because kids are great! Columbia has become a second home and coaching with Soccer Shots makes me proud to be a part of the community.”
Coach Sam has always been a lover of soccer, whether playing or watching, she always tries to stay involved with it! She is a Chicago native and currently a student at Mizzou majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. Working with kids and families is something that has come naturally to Coach Sam, and she hopes to pursue a hands-on career doing just that. Coach Sam is a founder of the Mizzou College Mentors for Kids chapter and is currently their President. She thinks Soccer Shots is another perfect way to be involved in the Columbia community and cannot wait to get to know some awesome kids!

Coach Gabby is a 23 year old graduate student at the University of Missouri. She is in a three year Doctor of Physical Therapy program and will graduate in May of 2020. Gabby truly loves working with kids and her hope is to work in a pediatric physical therapy setting once she graduates. Prior to MIZZOU, she attended Quincy University where she majored in Biology and played soccer. Gabby was named captain her senior year and she felt blessed to be a part of such a great program and conference. Gabby has been playing soccer since she was three years old and it is one of her greatest passions. She is so excited to be a part of the Soccer Shots team and share not only her passion for soccer with the kids she will coach, but also encourage them to be the best person and teammate they can be! Gabby is originally from Eureka, MO, a suburb of St. Louis, but she really enjoys living in Columbia and reaching out into the community as much as possible. When she’s not in the classroom or volunteering through her PT program, she really enjoys being outdoors. She loves hiking, biking, running, and weight lifting. Gabby still plays soccer any opportunity she gets. Prior to Soccer Shots, Gabby also has experience working with children as a youth summer camp counselor for 5 years back in her hometown.
If you have a passion for positively impacting children, we’d love to talk to you.
