Soccer has always played a major role in Jimmy’s life. Jimmy grew up playing soccer in York, Pa and went on to play at Washington and Jefferson College in Pittsburgh, Pa as a four-year starter and two-year captain.
Jimmy was surrounded by great coaches growing up and is excited to be able to return the favor to the children of New York City! He loves working with kids and is focused on developing character, fine motor skills, and having fun!

Soccer has always been a huge passion and part of her life! She feels her Italian culture has given her the opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the sport in different ways; as a lifestyle! Coach Gabriella is passionate about empowering youth development through soccer. She feels strongly about soccer’s pivotal impact: “Teaching children valuable life lessons, it is a great outlet for children to express themselves, develop, and help channel their energy, which improves their overall health.”
Her soccer career started at 6 years old with local Bridgewater clubs, then as captain with F.C. Copa Fuego in high school, traveling throughout New Jersey. She played competitively for the Rutgers University Women’s Soccer Club and worked with the New York Redbulls. Coach Gabriella continues to play in local soccer leagues and continues to learn from the game!
Partner Services Coordinator and Coach
Coach Alex has been playing the game of soccer since she was 5 years old. Alex played collegiate soccer for The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While in college, she assisted and coached the UNC Charlotte women’s summer camps, where she began coaching youth soccer. After her time in 4 years in Charlotte, she decided to take her talents to New York City where she hoped she could impact the lives of the the wonderful children of NYC. She has been coaching ever since.
Her mission is bring as much joy to soccer as possible, and give children an amazing experience with Soccer Shots. In her off time, you can find Coach Alex hanging out with friends or cheering on her Washington, DC sports teams.
Seb has always spent most of his youth playing soccer and shared his passion with the kids through coaching.
During his career player, Seb played the national youth league with Professional team, Rennes, and then went to play for two other french soccer teams in 4th and 5th division, Lamballe and St Brieuc.
Soccer has been a part of MiKayla’s life since she began playing as a child. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the sport that filled her childhood to others. Though she took a hiatus from the sport in college, other than recreational games, she looks forward to having it in her daily life again.
While playing, she participated in club and school teams. With these groups she traveled around Florida to play in tournaments and games. During her time in high school she helped develop a program that allowed elementary students to begin developing basic soccer skills, while giving them a chance to participate in games.
Allyson has gone from player to coach. Playing in many leagues in South Florida and High school JV and Varsity. Coaching was the next stepping stone. Allyson has experience coaching all ages. Moved up north to continue a passion for coaching kids, and showing them how awesome the sport is and helping them become amazing athletes.
Lucas was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and he has always had a knack for exercise. Since elementary school he made fitness a priority. He feels like health is wealth! Lucas believes physical fitness is vital to function properly and he strongly feels that this should be implemented from the adolescent stages.
Ever since he expanded his knowledge to become a fitness professional at Harry Hanson’s sports medicine introductory school A.A.P.T; he longed for the opportunity to work with children and be a positive part of their lives. Lucas believes Soccer Shots has given that outlet – “I can honestly say I have one of the most rewarding positions you could wish for! Soccer Shots enables me to use the game of soccer to teach adolescents valuable life lessons and character skills, which is vital for a progressive community.”
Yorli grew up in NYC and joys being outdoors and exploring the city. He strives to make people smile and sharing his positive energy with others, especially children. Yorli developed a passion for soccer at a young age. Throughout his playing career, he began developing a desire to coach soccer in order to positively impact kids the same way he had been.
Coach Eder grew up in the city of Los Angeles and his entire life has been influenced by soccer. He learned to build character and lots of life lessons through the beautiful sport of soccer. Growing up with a father who loved soccer more than anything in the world, Eder grew fond of soccer as well. He played semi-pro soccer and has some background in engineering which he’s working on achieving. Eder has been part of Soccer shots for more than four and a half years; which has taught him to care and love children. His passion and dedication to the growth development of children is which makes him such a special person. He loves the beach and likes to stay very active by going to the gym very frequently. His goal is to make an impact on every child and family to ensure that they receive the best experience in our program.
Alex has always loved the game of soccer and the experiences that have come with it. Alex spent four years at Benjamin Banneker Academy in Brooklyn, NY playing for the Women’s Varsity soccer team. While at Banneker, she was involved in managing the Men’s Varsity soccer team. It is through the managing process where she really understood the inner workings of what it takes to build a team. Her experience as a player and manager helped to foster her love for the game of soccer.
After graduating in June 2009, she attended Syracuse University then University of Virginia to complete her degrees in Accounting before moving back to New York. She is now fulfilling her passion of mentoring and impacting the lives of young children through coaching!
Coach Ian was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He started playing soccer at the age of 5. He played for 68th Precinct and AYSO. In addition to soccer, Ian played volleyball and was captain of his high school team. On top of playing sports, he enjoys doing Zumba and weight training at the gym and hanging out with friends and family.
He has experience working as coach at the AYSO 266 VIP program for special needs children, and currently works full time at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as an office assistant.
James Jacobs AKA “Rico” has been a die hard fan of the game of soccer after being introduced to it by his friends in high school. Ever since then Rico has been involved in various aspects of the game from playing in recreational leagues, refereeing, and now his favorite part coaching for Soccer Shots!
Matthew has been playing the game of soccer since the early age of 3. A dedicated team player, he has a good sense of how putting together different personalities on the field helps strengthen players through unity. Matthew played for 14 wonderful and well spent years in the 68th Precinct Youth Council Soccer Association.
Starting in the summer of 2017, Matthew has increased his involvement in the downtown Brooklyn area through helping train sports attributes for children at day camps. He is now serving Soccer Shots to help share his knowledge of the game and make future Soccer Stars!
