Coach Matt was born in Derby, England and moved over to Florida at 9 years old, he played Club soccer in Lady Lake and St.Petersburg, went to Admiral Farragut Academy High School played all 4 years of high school soccer. He got into coaching at 23 years and has several coaching certificates and are as follows: USSF (US Soccer Federation) D license; TOPsoccer certificate; IOC (International Olympic Committee) certified coach. He is experienced in 5 years of developmental/competitive/academy coaching at Clermont FC. He also attends Real Life Church every weekend. He enjoys coaching and teaching children the many benefits this sport has to offer and hopes to make a lasting impact in the community.
Coach Kayla is a seven year AYSO All Stars soccer champion from California. She obtained her Master’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s University and her undergrad from UC Berkeley. She brings 10+ years of experience in programming for youth recreation. She is grateful for the impact she is able to make through coaching and to be a part of Soccer Shots.
Coach Elise was born and raised in Buffalo, New York where her passion for the game of soccer began. At the age of 5 years old, her mother enrolled her in a youth soccer program and little Elise fell in LOVE with being on a “team” with all her new friends and an awesome coach to help teach her what soccer was really all about, having FUN! But, just 10 years later, at age 15, she got her first job coaching soccer for that very same recreation center. Throughout the years of her coaching career, Coach Elise has had the amazing opportunity to share her passion for how the game of soccer can positively impact the lives of children and their communities. She hopes to inspire kids to pursue the sport that has taught her so much throughout her own life.
Coach Sinjon was born in Lakeland and raised in Winter Haven. Even though he played American Football as a kid he discovered in his teen years that his real passion was soccer. Coach Sinjon has taken the challenge of have never played soccer in stride and had earned his USSF D Coaching License at 19. He remains active in Polk’s soccer community serving as a head coach for Lakeland Tropic’s U9 academy team and as a gameday operator for the professional side. He wants to see Polk County create an identity of it’s own through the sport and spread hometown pride.
Coach Grace moved to Saint Cloud, FL in August 1998 from Barbers Point, HI and has lived here ever since. She played Volleyball, Soccer, and Basketball all throughout grade school where she was Captain of her Volleyball team.
She fell in love with Soccer Shots when she brought her two girls to a Fun Day. She loved the positivity, passion that the coaches had and character development that the program offered that she wanted to be a part of the team! She loves teaching children of all ages about sports and building their confidence through determination.
