Coach Orlando

Coach Orlando

Director of Coaching

Coach Orlando grew up in Florida. He began playing when he was 12 and has been playing ever since. He began sharing his passion for soccer when he started coaching for the Orlando City youth development program. The reason he is most excited about living in North Carolina is that he will get to learn how to sled! So share any pointers you have with him.

Coach AJ

Coach AJ

Coach AJ serves as one of our Director of Partner Services in addition to serving as one of our coaches. He was born and raised in a little town near Hershey, Pennsylvania, where they make all the yummy Hershey’s chocolate. He moved to North Carolina 4 years ago to complete his degree in Sports Management at NC State in 2016. Ever since he could walk, he has been playing soccer with his friends. When he’s not playing soccer, he’s running around with his crazy dog, Jessie. If you see Coach AJ, ask him to tell you a silly story about Jessie!

Coach Annalise

Coach Annalise

Coach Annalise was born and raised in Wooster, Ohio. She has been playing soccer since she was 3 and coaching since she was a freshman in high school. She graduated from Urbana University May 2017 with a degree in Sports Management, playing college soccer all 4 years. Coach Annalise had the opportunity to attend the Women’s World Cup in Canada 2015, which was one of her most memorable experiences. She loves spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, playing soccer, skiing, hiking, and watching the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Coach Annelyse

Coach Annelyse

Coach Annelyse grew up in Miami, Florida before moving to North Carolina at the age of 12. She has always enjoyed playing soccer for fun throughout high school and college. After graduating from Elon University with a degree in Psychology, she spent a year working as a child development fellow. In the future, she hopes to go to graduate school and become a child life specialist. In her free time, Coach Annelyse loves to travel. She has been to 18 countries, and hopes to visit many more!

Coach Briana

Coach Briana

Coach Briana was born and raised in Salisbury, NC. She started playing soccer when she was four and never stopped. During middle school Coach Briana participated in Battle Of the Books (BOB), reading is so much fun! She started karate in high school, earning her 1st degree blackbelt and competing nationally. She recently graduated from NCSU with a degree in Geology! Ask Coach Briana about her trips to dig dinosaur bones and hike volcanoes!

Coach Caine

Coach Caine

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Coach Caine is our resident musician. He plays multiple instruments – guitar, drums and the trumpet to name a few, and was also a college football kicker. Caine loves taking trips to the mountains, Mexican and Italian food and his dog, Bella. Oh, and he also loves coaching your children!

Coach Carson

Coach Carson

Coach Carson was born in Charlotte, NC, and lived in both Texas and Indiana. He is a junior at NC State University, pursuing dual degrees in Business Administration and International Studies. He has played soccer since he could walk. He is a 4-time State Semi-finalist for CSA and also a State Semi-Finalist for 3A NC High Schools with Weddington High School. He studied abroad last year and toured the Estadio Bernabeu in Madrid. Coach Carson plays intramural soccer at NCSU and works as Operations Coordinator for Camp Kesem, which is for kids who have a family member who are battling cancer or have passed away from cancer. His favorite soccer team is Manchester United!

Coach Cassidy

Coach Cassidy

Coach Cassidy has grown up playing soccer. She is also our recruiter, and loves to meet new prospective coaches. She graduated from NC State with a degree in Animal Science. She is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but has fallen in love with the Raleigh area. In her free time, you can find her reading or sitting on her back porch. Her favorite thing about working with kids is that you just never know what they will say.

Coach Chris

Coach Chris

Coach Chris was born and raised in Burlington NC. He started playing soccer at the age of 3 and fell in love with the game. After high school Coach Chris realized his passion for coaching and has done so by coaching in cities all around NC. In his spare time, he can be found volunteering at church, playing soccer, or having a bon fire with friends.

Coach Chris has been playing soccer almost as long as he’s been walking! He has competed in soccer tournaments all over the world, and has managed to score goals in four different countries. Coach Chris enjoys sharing his passion for soccer with our Soccer Friends. When he’s not teaching, Coach Chris has his nose buried in a calculus book, probably trying to determine the rate of acceleration needed to score a goal from midfield.

Coach Domenic

Coach Domenic

Coach Domenic was raised in Cary, and played soccer for Cardinal Gibbons High School, CASL, and our North Carolina ODP teams.  He graduated from the College of Charleston May 2017 with a degree in Business and a Concentration in Marketing. Coach Domenic studied abroad in Europe and worked with Nottingham Forest Football Club while traveling to many different countries!  In his free time, he loves to watch soccer matches, and Chelsea is his favorite soccer Club!

Coach Douglas

Coach Douglas

Coach Douglas is originally from New Jersey, but moved to North Carolina when he was 10. He has been playing soccer since he started walking! Coach Douglas attended East Carolina University where he attained a degree from the Kinesiology Department as a Health Fitness Specialist major. While at ECU, he was President of the ECU club soccer team, playing other collegiate teams from across the country. He loves spending time with our friends because they can turn a bad day around instantly!

Coach Ghazelle

Coach Ghazelle

Coach Ghazelle grew up in Chesapeake, VA.  She lived in Pennsylvania for 7 years before moving to Apex 4 years ago with her husband and 3 children. Before becoming a mom, coach Ghazelle worked for several years as a Mechanical Engineer. Coach Ghazelle’s love for soccer began at 5 years old watching her brothers play and she went on to play through high school. She rediscovered her love for soccer watching her own children from the sidelines and eventually coached them for a few seasons. During her free time, you can find Coach Ghazelle reading, crafting, and cheering for her children on the gymnastics floor and on the soccer field. Her favorite part of coaching is watching the children’s excitement when they discover and learn new skills.

Coach Josh

Coach Josh

Coach Josh grew up just outside of Orlando, FL. He has been playing soccer since he was 10 years old and has been coaching soccer since 2013. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2012 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and is now pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree with a focus in counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. In the fall, you can find him coaching the Varsity boys soccer team at Rolesville High School. When he is not coaching soccer, Coach Josh loves spending time with his wife, Abby; chocolate lab rescue, Gracie; and new baby girl, Julia.

Coach Keith

Coach Keith

Coach Keith holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, and played soccer for Campbell University.  He is married to Lisa, and has three children, a grandson and a brand new granddaughter.  Just ask him to see pictures!  Having come from a background of teaching and pastoral ministry, Coach Keith loves meeting new people and helping them become the best they can be!

Coach Kyle

Coach Kyle was born and raised in Apex, North Carolina.  He started playing soccer at the age of 5 and never stopped. He attended Panther Creek High School and played soccer in college at the University of Mount Olive. When he’s not involved with soccer Kyle enjoys other sports like hockey, basketball, and football or playing with one of his three dogs.

Coach Mario

Coach Mario

Coach Mario was born and raised in Angola. He first lived in Rhode Island when he came to the USA. He played soccer for NC Wesleyan College where he graduated with a degree in Sports Management. He can speak five languages and can read and write in all but one. He’s always dreamt about coaching youth and helping them find the passion and love that he has for soccer and how much it can impact a person’s life. In his spare time, he likes to go for a run  with his funny Doberman Pinscher.

Coach Natalie

Coach Natalie

Coach Natalie grew up in London in England and has been playing soccer for as long as she can remember. While in England, she trained at Football Association academies, and eventually became Women’s Soccer team Captain at the University of Northampton. She moved to America 8 years ago and attended East Carolina University where she attained a Biology Degree.  In her spare time Coach Natalie enjoys hiking with her dogs, playing all kinds of sports, and watching Arsenal, her favorite soccer team.

Coach Rick

Coach Rick

Coach Rick grew up in New York State before moving to South Carolina at the age of 16. He played soccer his Senior year of high school. He served in the US Army as a Military Policeman and then went into civilian law enforcement. He moved to Raleigh, NC in 1998 and started coaching soccer in 2006 at the club level. He also is the Head Coach for Wake Forest High School Men’s Varsity Soccer and the Head JV Girl’s Coach. When he’s not on the soccer field, Coach Rick likes to spend time with his family, going to church and watching sports.

Coach Satish

Coach Satish

Coach Satish grew up in England with a passion for soccer (or football as it is called in Europe) from an early age.  The passion extended from playing soccer for school and local teams, setting up an indoor league and competitions to managing a company team for many years.  He has a background in science and sales and moved to the US in 2001 working in NJ and then in NC from 2005.  Coach Satish is devoted to following Liverpool FC and in his spare time enjoys movies, photography, cycling and hiking with his dog Sadie.

Coach Shane

Coach Shane

Coach Shane grew up in Williston Vermont. He started playing soccer at the age of 5 and played throughout Vermont for most of his life. Coach Shane attended the University of Vermont where he played 4 years of Division one soccer. This is also where his coaching career began, as every summer he would help coach the youth soccer camps at his home field on campus. Following Coach Shane’s collegiate career, he played soccer professionally in Reykjavik, Iceland for two years. He recently relocated to North Carolina to be with family. When Coach Shane is not playing soccer he enjoys hanging out with his friends and playing with his dog.

Coach Taylor

Coach Taylor

Coach Taylor grew up in Florida and has been playing soccer since she was 5. She moved to North Carolina to play collegiate soccer at Barton College and was captain of her team and also named second team all conference. Coach Taylor will be graduating with her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. Coach Taylor enjoys hanging out with friends, coaching, going to the beach, and playing with her dog and cat.

Coach Zahra

Coach Zahra

Coach Zahra grew up in Charlotte, NC and played soccer throughout middle and high school. In high school, Coach Zahra also did lacrosse and was on the track team and she just loves sports in general! Coach Zahra went to NC State for her undergrad and majored in Human Biology. She is involved in a variety of community service and outreach programs such as Boys and Girls Club where she tutors kids around Raleigh! Coach Zahra is taking some time before she attends medical school to pursue toxicology research at Duke!
