Coach Annalise

Coach Annalise

Senior Staff Coach

Coach Annalise was born and raised in Wooster, Ohio. She has been playing soccer since she was 3 and coaching since she was a freshman in high school. She graduated from Urbana University May 2017 with a degree in Sports Management, playing college soccer all 4 years. Coach Annalise had the opportunity to attend the Women’s World Cup in Canada 2015, which was one of her most memorable experiences. She loves spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, playing soccer, skiing, hiking, and watching the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Coach Betsey

Coach Betsey

Coach Betsey was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina and attends North Carolina State University, where she is getting her M.S. in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. She previously graduated from North Carolina State University in May of 2019 with a B.S. in Sport Management. Coach Betsey has played soccer since she was a child, and began coaching in high school and continued through college. Coach Betsey is passionate about mentoring youth, and demonstrating the great values that sport can provide. In her spare time you will catch Coach Betsy at the dog park, eating pepperoni pizza or watching Marvel movies!

Coach Caine

Coach Caine

Marketing Coordinator

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Coach Caine is our resident musician. He plays multiple instruments – guitar, drums and the trumpet to name a few, and was also a college football kicker. Caine loves taking trips to the mountains, Mexican and Italian food and his dog, Bella. Oh, and he also loves coaching your children!

Coach Chris C.

Executive Director

Coach Chris has been playing soccer almost as long as he’s been walking! He has competed in soccer tournaments all over the world, and has managed to score goals in four different countries. Coach Chris enjoys sharing his passion for soccer with our Soccer Friends. When he’s not teaching, Coach Chris has his nose buried in a calculus book, probably trying to determine the rate of acceleration needed to score a goal from midfield.

Coach Cullen

Coach Cullen

Coach Cullen is originally from Buffalo, NY and has been playing soccer all of his life. He has been coaching soccer since the age of 14, both casually and competitively. For the rare occasions that Coach Cullen is away from Soccer Island, you can find him creating digital illustrations and designs!

Coach Darrius

Coach Darrius

Coach Darrius is from Greenville, NC. Coach Darrius began playing soccer when he got to high school, and describes it as “the best decision I made in a long time”. He made amazing memories playing soccer, and also participated in track where he made conference and regionals. Coach Darrius graduated college with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. When he isn’t playing or coaching sports he is playing video games, working out or watching tv.

Coach Domenic

Director of Coaching

Coach Domenic was raised in Cary, and played soccer for Cardinal Gibbons High School, CASL, and our North Carolina ODP teams.  He graduated from the College of Charleston May 2017 with a degree in Business and a Concentration in Marketing. Coach Domenic studied abroad in Europe and worked with Nottingham Forest Football Club while traveling to many different countries!  In his free time, he loves to watch soccer matches, and Chelsea is his favorite soccer Club!

Coach Franchesca

Coach Fran was born and raised in Knightdale, NC. She moved to Wilmington, NC, where she found her love for Soccer! She’s been playing soccer since Elementary school and has been coaching soccer since college! Coach Fran enjoys teaching, especially using soccer as a tool to teach! She loves kids and seeing them soar!

Coach Ian

Coach Ian

Coach Ian was born and raised in Portland, OR and attends Duke University, where he is studying biology and environmental science. An avid soccer fan and player his whole life, Coach Ian enjoys teaching and sharing his love for the game with others. When he’s not coaching, he can be found spending time with his younger siblings, rowing rivers, or skiing. 

Coach Jacklynn

Coach Jacklynn is from a small town in upstate New York. Coach Jacklynn moved to North Carolina for a pediatric nursing job at UNC. Jacklynn (Jackie) played soccer since she was 5 years old and played for St. John Fisher College. Following college she was an assistant coach for her varsity girls soccer team back home. In her free time she enjoys to travel, go to the beach and hangout with friends.

Coach Jasmine

Coach Jasmine was born and raised in Durham, NC. She grew up playing soccer and fell in love with the game and has played up to her freshman year of college. Coach Jasmine is currently at NC A&T State University as an Information Technology student. When she’s not coaching she loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends!

Coach Josh

Coach Josh

Although originally from San Francisco, Coach Josh moved to North Carolina to attend Duke for Physical Therapy. Coach Josh’s goal is to spread the power of physical therapy in a pediatric sports setting. Coach Josh is an avid runner and loves to watch and play all sports including basketball, football, baseball, and last but definitely not least soccer. In his spare time, you can find Coach Josh in his natural habitat, outside in nature or playing sports.

Coach Kelly

Coach Kelly

Coach Kelly is a proud father of 5 kids and has loved coaching them in their sports. His family loves all sports as he and his wife were athletes at Yale and their children have played soccer, football, swimming, volleyball and lacrosse. Coach Kelly was a quarterback and captain of the Yale football team while he was there.  Coach Kelly believes sports can have an incredible and positive impact on children and he looks forward to coaching and teaching and helping children learn and grow.

Coach Lauren

Coach Lauren

Coach Lauren is originally from Chapel Hill, NC, and started playing soccer at the age of four. She played club soccer for 9 years, and high school soccer. Soccer has always been a large part of her life, and she enjoys playing for fun now. Coach Lauren is currently at UNC Chapel Hill studying Psychology and Exercise and Sport Science. In her free time she loves to run, play with her pets, and be outside. When she is not coaching, you can find her at the beach, which is her favorite place to go.

Coach Maryam

Coach Maryam

Coach M was born in central NC, but did most of her growing up in the mid-west. A proud graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in southern Minnesota, moving back to NC has been a great choice for her weather-wise. She has been the assistant coach for the Varsity Softball team at Jordan High School in Durham for the past 4 seasons. Go Falcons! She has played sports all of her life from soccer to hockey to softball. She loves playing board games with friends, watching sports, and hanging out with her dog.

Coach Matthew was born and raised in Troutman, NC. He started playing soccer at the age of 5 and played intramural soccer at NCSU. Coach Matthew graduated from NC State (The Best College) with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Coaching Education. In his spare time, he can be found hanging out with friends or spending time outdoors with his dog Johnny Cash.

Coaching Coordinator - Durham

Coach Melissa was raised in Charlotte, NC and grew up playing soccer. She has always loved the sport and played it recreationally through college at UNC Chapel Hill. Coach Melissa lived abroad in Kenya for a couple years and unintentionally discovered her love for coaching soccer there! Coach Melissa is also a personal trainer; and in her free time, she enjoys readingworking out, playing team sports, and going on adventures with friends.

Coach Nick

Coach Nick is a current student at NC State working on a Sports Management degree! He is from Cary,NC and graduated from Panther Creek HS. Coach Nick played TFC Classic soccer for 8 years while growing up. Coach Nick is a former YMCA counselor of 5 years and is looking forward to continuing his career of coaching kids!

Coach Rahul

Coach Rahul

Coach Rahul grew up in Cary, NC but was born in Toronto, Canada. He moved to London, UK until he was 4 and then moved to Cary. Coach Rahul played as a goalkeeper for Green Hope and graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. In his spare time he enjoys playing my saxophone, playing soccer and playing video games. Coach Rahul has also been coaching club soccer for 5 years and truly loves the sport.

Coach Shanice

Coach Shanice

Coach Shanice was born and raised in a small town in Vermont named Bellows Falls. She has been playing soccer since she was in 3rd grade. Although she has a great passion for soccer, she also loved playing softball throughout high school. Coach Shanice loves cooking, singing, and always putting a smile on everyone’s face. When she is not coaching soccer you can find her at home every Sunday getting ready for the Patriots game.

Coach Ty

Coach Ty

Coach Ty was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has played soccer since the age of 4. He attended Knightdale High School and went on to study at North Carolina State University. Coach Ty has returned to Soccer Shots after traveling and living for a year in Australia and is very excited to be back!

Coach Tyler

Coach Tyler

Coach Tyler was born and raised in the Raleigh/Wake forest area and has lived here his whole life. He grew up playing soccer through CASL, and Carolina Soccer Club and was apart of the first ever Varsity soccer program at Heritage High School and Captained it for 3 years. Coach Tyler attended and played soccer at Louisburg College and moved into coaching in 2014 where he was on the staff at Franklin Academy High School until 2016.
