Evan has played professional soccer for six years with both the Richmond and Charlotte pro teams. He’s a seasoned coach at all levels of soccer and has worked with hundreds of youth players as a Soccer Shots instructor. Evan is passionate about using soccer to develop and work with children of all ages.
Director of Operations
Coach Jason has been instructing youth soccer of all ages for over 10 years. He absolutely loves soccer and began playing when he was three years old. After playing soccer in college at Penn State, he played seven years of professional soccer in the MLS for FC Dallas and in the USL for Pittsburgh and Richmond. Jason and his wife Carter have a one-year-old child, Beau.
Director of Development
Coach Andrew has played soccer for the past 18 years. He grew up in Richmond playing for the Kickers and he continued to play collegiate soccer at VCU while earning his master’s degree. A seasoned veteran as a coach, he is a long-standing member and integral part of the Soccer Shots team.
Director of Marketing
Coach Stephen is from Stafford and attended North Stafford High School. He is a recent graduate of VCU with a degree in Graphic Design. Soccer is one of Stephen’s many passions. He has also been a youth team leader, a swim instructor, and an All-American high school wrestler. He has been a part of the Soccer Shots team as a coach for over two years and also helps direct the Marketing team.
Coach James is from Manassas City and he attended Osbourn High school. He studied International Business and Italian at VCU. He has been playing soccer from a very young age and absolutely loves the sport. He even spent some time training with Millwall professional team in England. He also played lacrosse in high school as well as peer mentored elementary school kids. James has been coaching with Soccer Shots for over two years and supports our Operations team.
Coach Taylor is from Richmond and has been playing soccer for the past 28 years (he started when he was 5). He played club soccer for FC Richmond and captained the Maggie Walker Governor’s School team before playing for Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. He now splits his time between coaching and talking about the sport on his daily podcast, The Total Soccer Show. Taylor loves soccer because of its ability to bring people together… but also because it’s just pretty fun to play!
Coach Pavlos is from Athens, Greece and attended Manchester University in England, UK studying Sports Management. He is currently working as a Sales & Marketing director for an engineering firm specialising in modular buildings. Played semi-professional soccer in Greece and England. He has been a soccer coach for the last 6 years gaining his qualifications in England and coaching soccer in Manchester, UK and all across the US East Coast.
Coach Tiffany has been in the soccer world for over two decades. She played in college at Longwood University where she was awarded Freshman of the Year in the conference as well as tying the school record for goals scored per season. She played at Roanoke College as well. Tiffany has coached multiple soccer camps and clinics to elementary aged children. For the past two years, she has coached a U6 team for Chesterfield Strikers and lives in Chesterfield with her son Hunter, who is also a soccer player.
Coach Kate grew up playing soccer and has also been a competitive dancer for many years. She is a Richmond native just graduated from VCU with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education and Exercise Science. She holds certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiologist, and American Red Cross CPR/AED. Kate is excited to be part of the Soccer Shots team!
Coach Karli is from Philadelphia, PA, but moved to Stafford, VA, as a kid. She attended Mountain View High School and is currently in her undergrad at VCU studying Health Sciences to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She has been playing soccer for as long as she can remember and hopes to bring a love of soccer to the kids she coaches, just like she has!
Coach Ashley grew up playing soccer in Roanoke before attending Longwood University for undergrad and UNC for grad school. Ashley currently works in the school system providing behavioral support to elementary aged students. She has worked with children for over 12 years and loves coaching Soccer Shots!
Coach Maddie is from Fredericksburg Va. She is currently studying elementary education at VCU. She has been playing soccer since a very young age and has even competed internationally. As a future educator, she has always loved encouraging children to be the best version of themselves.
Coach Tucker is from Smithfield, Virginia and graduated from Smithfield High School before attending VCU. He has been playing soccer from a young age and loves getting kids active and teaching them about soccer. Tucker has lived in Spain to teach English as a second language in his spare time and loves to travel.
Coach Kaitlyn has played soccer for the past 16 years. She grew up playing with the Richmond Kickers and continued to play 2 years at the collegiate level at Roanoke College before transferring and playing club soccer at VCU. She has coached with Roanoke Star’s soccer organization and absolutely loves working with children!
Coach Eddie has played soccer for the past 20 years. He was a four-year starter for Banner Christian School in high school and played on the academy team for United Football Club. Eddie received his Bachelors of Health, Physical Education & Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. He then earned a Masters in Teaching from VCU. With these degrees and interests he has a passion for teaching children healthy habits and making physical activity a lifestyle.
Coach Eli is from Fredericksburg where he grew up playing soccer since he was 5 years old. Eli completed his studies with a major in Social Work from VCU. He loves being able to work with children and provide them an opportunity to the learn the best sport in the world!
Coach Brynn graduated from a specialty center for Education and Human Development in high school and now attends the University of Virginia where she plans to get her masters in Elementary Education. She has worked as a childcare provider for 6 years and has been playing soccer since kindergarten. She plans to become an elementary school teacher/administrator after college and loves having the opportunity to combine her passion for inspiring children and playing soccer as a Soccer Shots coach!
Grayson is a current student at Virginia Commonwealth University under
the Fine Arts Department for Photography. He grew up in Smithfield, VA where he
played soccer throughout his childhood, both with the local soccer club and high
school. He enjoys traveling and the outdoors, and hopes for both to be a part of
his career through photojournalism.
