Coach Lizzy started coaching with Soccer Shots in the summer of 2015. A Churchville native, she graduated high school from Churchville-Chili and college from SUNY Fredonia. She played soccer for 11 years as a defender and goalkeeper. She also participated in volleyball, tennis, and was a member of the swimming and diving team. She loves coaching children and watching their soccer skills progress.
James has played soccer at the premier, travel, and high school level starting from the age of six, and now enjoys playing recreationally. After graduating high school, James pursued a year of service through Rochester Americorps in the field of youth development where he discovered his passion for coaching. He has been working with youth for the past six years in various capacities. His experience includes coaching soccer for youth teams in urban neighborhoods as part of Flower City Soccer League, YOU ROChester, and modified soccer for the Rochester City School District. James also maintains his NYSED coaching license and USSF “E” level license in order to continue to see youth learn, develop new skills, and have fun around the game of soccer.
Sean grew up in Rochester and began playing soccer at the age of 8 and has been involved with the sport ever since. He played high school soccer for Bishop Kearney, and coached the modified team after graduating. He attended Mercyhurst College in Erie Pennsylvania before graduating from St. John Fisher with a degree in Sport Management which led him to working for the Rochester Rhinos. After three years with the Rhinos, Sean then made the move to work for D.C. United of Major League Soccer where he worked closely with many of the youth soccer clubs in the D.C. and Virginia area. He was then hired by Loudoun Soccer Club in Leesburg Virginia as the Mini Program Manager. Sean was there for four years over seeing the programing for nearly 4000 soccer players ages 3-6 years old. He recently returned home and began working as a full time coach with Soccer Shots and has now transitioned to the role of Program Director to help oversee the day to day operations. Sean is a member of the NSCAA and has his USSF “E” license as well as his TOPSoccer Certification, and also coaches with Empire United Soccer Club.
