Coach Alexus has played soccer for over 15 years on club teams, in high school, as well as college! Not only does she stay active to this day through soccer, but also enjoys crossfit. Her favorite part of coaching is having a blast with the kiddos and being silly while learning soccer skills. She grew up in Austin, where her favorite part was going to the Congress Bridge to see the bats.
Fun Fact: Alexus loves spicy food and dachshunds!
Coach Alexis has been playing soccer for over 20 years! She has played competitively for 9 years through club, high school and college. Her favorite position is sweeper! She still plays soccer recreationally, and also enjoys playing basketball as well. Coach Alexis has several years experience coaching small children, including raising two of her own! She loves seeing how children develop and grow!
Fun Fact: Coach Alexis loves to sing!
Coach Alyssa started playing soccer when she was 4 years old in Forney, Texas. She played recreationally as a child all the way to being the starting goalie for St. Mary’s all 4 years of college. When not playing soccer, she enjoys playing volleyball and basketball. Coach Alyssa has several years experience coaching youth soccer and also volunteering with the children’s groups at her church. She loves to watch how children build relationships through sports.
Fun Fact: Coach Alyssa played soccer in England and Scotland when she was in the 7th grade!
Coach Ana was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and is, of course, a HUGE Spurs fan! She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in kinesiology, double minoring in coaching and Spanish. She has played many sports her entire life, including soccer, basketball, volleyball and gymnastics. Soccer was a huge part of her childhood, where she played for over 12 years. She is excited to coach with Soccer Shots and spread her love for the sport! She believes that coaching a wonderful way of teaching children, as they learn best through play.
Fun Fact: Ana can quote 100% of Disney’s Hercules, Aladdin, and Lion King!
Program Specialist, Elite Coach
Coach Ashley started playing soccer at the age of four year’s old and has loved it ever since! She played for an independent club team where she won the Texas state tournament two years in a row. She started playing with the Classics Elite Soccer Academy until she was 18, along with Varsity Soccer at Churchhill High School where she also made state playoffs! Coach Ashley still plays pick up games and goes to the gym at least 6 times a week! Coach Ashley has tons of experience with kids. She has worked at kids R Kids Learning Academy for the past 3 years. Her favorite part about coaching little kids is to see the progress they make and the smiles on their faces when they achieve their goals!
Fun Fact: Coach Ashley always does a dance whenever she’s excited about anything!
Coach Bria started playing soccer when she was 5 years old and has played for 22 years! She played for multiple club teams as well as for her university, University of Texas of the Permian Basin. She also enjoyed playing volleyball! Bria comes to Soccer Shots with experience working with children through being a preschool teacher. She loves working with children because she can be silly with them! Her favorite part of living in San Antonio is, of course, the food and culture.
Fun Fact: Coach Bria always becomes inspired by the show Chopped and enjoys exploring in the kitchen!
Director of Coaching
Coach Cara’s love for children brought her into the Soccer Shots team. She brings so much confidence and originality to her sessions. Coach Cara started playing soccer when she was 5 years old and continued until college where she played on numerous Club teams. Her favorite positions are sweeper and mid field. She currently stays active by participating in obstacle runs. She not only coaches with Soccer Shots, but also other organizations around the San Antonio area. Her favorite part of coaching children is watching them master new skills every week.
Fun Fact: She loves trying new food and is the first woman in her family to graduate from college!
Coach Casey has played soccer for over 25 years! He began playing club and high school, which allowed him to continue playing at Centenary College. His favorite positions to play were striker and outside midfielder. Although he does not play anymore, Casey enjoys sharing the game with his children and continues to stay active through kickball and bike riding. His favorite part of working with children is their excitement when they learn a new skill or accomplish something they believed they could not do!
Fun Fact: Coach Casey’s says that the best part of his day is cooking with his kids! He is a wizard in the kitchen.
Coach Catty was born and raised in Austin, TX. She loves the diversity of the city and of course, the live music! She began playing soccer at age 4 and began playing club with the Georgetown Force and Round Rock Dragons as she grew up. She started as a defender and moved to midfielder in high school, falling in love with the position. She nows plays soccer for fun with her friends at her university, UTSA, where she is working towards her degree in Kinesiology. Her favorite part of coaching children is watching them master different skills and seeing their excitement.
Fun Fact: Catty absolutely LOVES dog!
Coach Courtney began playing soccer at the age of 6. She played on club, in high school, and continued playing through intramural at her university! She continues to play for fun with friends and pursued her career in fitness through an internship at an athletic performance training facility. She joined our team with coaching experience through summer camps and was also a children’s exercise instructor before moving to San Antonio! She grew up in southern Illinois and loves the diversity of San Antonio.
Fun Fact: Coach Courtney auditioned for American Idol!
Coach David H.
Coach David fell in love with soccer when he started playing in high school. His love for the game turned into a love for coaching. He has now been a soccer coach for 24 years, for teams such as CYO, YMCA, Dragons Soccer Club, ACYSO and Alamo Soccer club. Coach David is one of Soccer Shots’ veteran coaches and is a member of NSCAA.
Fun Fact: Coach David holds a USSF E Certificate, and a Goal Keeper level 1 and level 2 certificate from STYSA.
Coach Eliana grew up in San Antonio, TX and began playing soccer in kindergarten all the way until her freshman year of high school. She loved the sport so much and is excited for her opportunity with Soccer Shots to teach the game she grew up playing! In her spare time, she loves to play recreationally with her friends as well as stay active through running and swimming. She loves to work with children and how infectious their energy is!
Fun Fact: Coach Eliana has been playing piano for 15 years!
As a long-time Soccer Shots coach, Coach Emily comes to us with over 11 years of soccer playing experience! She grew up playing club soccer on various teams in Kansas, Virginia and Germany! She played all four years of high school starting on varsity, and played one year of college as a starter as well. Coach Emily loves being around kids, and loves seeing how excited they are to learn new things!
Fun Fact: Coach Emily comes from a military family, and lived in Germany most of her life!
Coach James started playing soccer at the age of 5, playing on various club teams and continued all the way through high school. He now plays regularly with his friends to have fun, as well as basketball! James grew up in Houston, TX then made his way to San Antonio. He says his favorite part about living here is definitely the food. He has lots of experience working with kiddos and is beginning his coaching journey with Soccer Shots. He is so excited to jump all in and share his love of the sport.

Coach “Jaz” Jasmine started playing soccer at an early age and decided to join her high school team when she entered her junior year. She enjoyed playing defense, especially sweeper and right defender. Jasmine loves to work with kiddos and incorporate team building with sports. Her favorite part is seeing them laugh and have fun. Today she enjoys playing at her home for fun, as well as practicing yoga and pilates! She loves living in San Antonio, being a part of the vibrant culture.
Fun Fact: Coach Jaz performed and competed in mariachi!
Coach Jennifer is born and raised in San Antonio. She is a mom to 2 beautiful children and in their spare time, they love to explore the city. She has multiple years of experience leading and teaching young children. Her favorite part about working with kiddos is seeing them engaged in an activity and developing a sense of pride in learning something new!

Coach Jorge has been playing all over the world since he was 9 years old! Growing up in Montigo, Panama, he has traveled the world playing in international soccer clubs and even played professional soccer for 3 years! He still plays soccer recreationally every Sunday and plans to continue being a soccer rock-star for the rest of his life! Coach Jorge has extensive childcare experience; he has worked at various kids soccer programs and soccer camps. He’s also provided soccer clinics at multiple academies in Panama. Coach Jorge’s favorite part about coaching soccer?
“Some kids dream about becoming a soccer player, and I can help them reach their goal,” he says.
Fun Fact: Coach Jorge was cut from The Panamanian National Team just days before the international Concacaf tournament. Although he thought about quitting soccer entirely, Coach Jorge kept playing soccer despite his disappointment. He’s a fantastic example of playing for the love of the game despite downfalls!
Coach Josh was born and raised in San Antonio, where he started playing soccer at the age of 4! He played for SA United and finished his club career with FC Dallas. He began playing semi pro and at his university, Our Lady of the Lake. He has 2 years of coaching experience before joining our team. His favorite part of coaching is watching the children develop their skills in soccer! He loves to share the passion he has for the sport with others.
Fun Fact: Coach Josh can play several different instruments: guitar, trumpet, saxophone, piano and drums!
With kids of his own, Coach Justin understands the benefits of youth sports. Currently finding fitness through Camp Gladiator and basketball, he can’t wait to coach with the Soccer Shots. His joy in coaching comes from teaching the children something new and making a positive impact in kids’ lives.
Fun Fact: Coach Justin has been privileged to live by both the mountains and the beach, but definitely likes the beach more!
Coach Katy P.
Coach Katy has been playing soccer for over 17 years! She started playing recreationally whens she was just 4 years old, then continued on to play club soccer through high school. During high school she was recruited by St. Mary’s University, where she now plays as a junior in college. Coach Katy has several years of soccer refereeing experience at a youth level, and even ran soccer camps through St. Mary’s last summer. Although she is a Texas native, she is glad to be in San Antonio for the many fun things to do and great food!
Fun Fact: Coach Katy went to Wrigley Field last summer to watch the Cubs play before they won the world series!
Kyle played soccer competitively for almost 10 years on a club team, where he developed a love for the sport. He now coaches and trains kiddos and has been for 5 years! His favorite part is having fun with them and creating an enjoyable atmosphere. He comes from a military family and loves living here in San Antonio.
Fun Fact: Kyle was born and raised in an Army family!
Coach Daniel "Matt"
Coach Daniel, aka Coach Matt, started playing soccer at age 8 and has been playing ever since. He started out playing recreational then moved on to play club soccer at the age of 12. In high school, he was named 1st team all-district and continued on to play 4 years for the Austin Aztec’s! Coach Matt still enjoys playing recreational soccer and can often be found riding bike trails for fun. His favorite part about working with children is how much energy they can bring to any activity!
Fun Fact: Coach Matt LOVES to be silly!
Coach Megan started playing soccer at the age of 4, which led her to continue playing the sport she loves now at St. Mary’s University! She also enjoys staying active through playing basketball, running, and lifting weights. Megan was born and raised in San Antonio; she loves that there is so much to do in the city and all the friends she has made over the years. She has joined the Soccer Shots team with coaching experience through her university soccer camp. Her favorite part of working with children is seeing their excitement after an accomplishment!
Fun Fact: Coach Megan is left footed!
Coach Nate played soccer as a child, and has picked up the sport recreationally for 2 years now as a goalie! He stays active not only through soccer, but basketball as well. In his spare time, Nate loves to help his community and has been on mission trips to 3 different countries. Nate was born and raised here in San Antonio; he is so grateful all the friends and experience he has made! He has joined our team with coaching experience through working summer camps since 2016. He is excited to continue his coaching journey with Soccer Shots!
Fun Fact: Coach Nate has an awesome Elmo impersonation!
Coach “Mandy” Ramanda grew up in Kerrville, TX and started playing soccer at the age of 3 until she was 18. She played on club teams as well as for her high school. She continues to stay active and play occasionally with her friends. She now lives in San Antonio with her dog, Daisy. She loves how there is always something to do in the city. She has joined the Soccer Shots team with coaching experience for 2 seasons. Her favorite part of coaching children is their exciting and willingness to learn a new sport.
Fun Fact: Coach Mandy competed at a state wide soccer competition twice in her career!
Coach Roberto grew up in Brownsville and played soccer for several years in high school. While in college he also played on a intramural team. Coach Roberto graduated from Texas State as a degree in kinesiology Currently, coach Roberto plays for the San Antonio social league. He enjoys living in San Antonio because of the diversity of cultures. His goal as a coach is connect with children in order to make a positive impact.
Fun Fact: Coach Roberto is a comedian
Coach Rylie was born and raised in San Antonio and has been playing soccer for over 10 years! She played through club, high school and is now playing for St. Mary’s University as their center back. She is majoring in finance and risk management and is so happy to continue playing soccer while staying close to family! Rylie has joined the Soccer Shots team with 3 years of coaching experience. Her favorite part of coaching children is the endless fun and that you are always on your toes.
Fun Fact: Coach Rylie has 2 dogs, Derek and Jeter, named after the famous Yankees player!
Coach Saige was raised in Connecticut before moving to San Antonio. She started playing soccer at the age of 5 and continued playing for over 20 years! She enjoyed playing recreationally and on a travel team before playing for 1 year in college. She has joined the Soccer Shots team with volunteer experience through the Special Olympics soccer league. Her favorite part of coaching is the opportunity to play with athletes and learning each individual’s personality. In her spare time, she loves to be outdoors and garden. She is also a new mom!

Coach Sebastian started playing soccer at the age of 4 and continued on to play competitively through high school. His favorite position to play is center mid-field. When he is not playing soccer, he enjoys staying active by going to the gym and getting in a good workout! He has been coaching youth soccer for almost 4 years, and loves to make children laugh!
Fun Fact: Coach Sebastian loves the Power Rangers!
Coach Sarah started playing soccer at the age of 5. She enjoyed playing both indoor and outdoor, recreationally and competitively, until college. She continued to play with her sorority intramural team while achieving her B.S. of Kinesiology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her favorite part about working at Soccer Shots is communicating with parents about the awesome accomplishments that their kiddo has done in our program. She loves seeing firsthand the impact we are making for the children of San Antonio!
Fun Fact: Coach Sarah’s favorite animal is a sloth; she got to meet and hold one for her 23rd birthday!
A San Antonio native, Coach Tony has been coaching soccer for over 7 years. He has not only coached soccer, but also basketball, golf and flag football. In his spare time, he enjoys playing recreational soccer, basketball, or playing a round of golf. His favorite part about coaching children is helping them become better people through sports!
Fun Fact: Coach Tony is a HUGE Spurs fan!
Coach Tori started playing soccer at the age of 5 and has been playing for 18 years. She played for her high school team as well as on the FC Dallas Soccer Club, continuing on to play with the Baylor Women’s Club Soccer team. She loved playing both forward and goalie! Tori not only enjoyed soccer, but volleyball, basketball, track and cross country. Her favorite part of working with children is how joyful they are to be around and cannot wait to begin her coaching journey with Soccer Shots!
Fun Fact: Tori has a dog named Marley that loves to run 5K’s with her!
Coach Will began playing soccer at the age of 7 and continued playing all over the world. He played varsity at his high school in Germany, club while in college, and intramural soccer in Colorado, North Carolina, Panama and Korea to name a few. He has now played for 35 years! William spends his time staying active through cycling and is working on becoming a soccer referee. He has joined the team with experience coaching 6-8 year olds in Colorado and Panama.
Fun Fact: William served in the army for over 30 years! He played soccer all over the U.S. and the world. Thank you for your service, Coach Will!
