Coach Ashlynne was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where she began playing soccer at age 2 and competitive soccer on a traveling team at age 7. She continued competitive soccer until her sophomore year of high school, and she played on her high school varsity team for four years, becoming a team captain during her senior year. Ashlynne also played for Wilmington College, a small division three college in Ohio, for one year before transferring to Seattle Pacific University. A lower back injury from high school recurred causing her to end her competitive soccer career. She is currently pursuing her B.S. in Exercise Science at SPU, and she plans to attend graduate school for physical therapy after completing her undergraduate degree. She has experience working with kids as a babysitter, a nanny, and a soccer camp counselor. Ashlynne enjoys being part of the Soccer Shots team because it combines her passion for soccer and kids.
Coach Dior was born and raised in Colleyville, Texas; a suburb outside of Dallas. She started playing soccer at the young age of 4. Coach Dior went on to play college soccer at USC Spartanburg for 1 year before transferring to Clayton State University in Georgia to finish up her collegiate soccer career. Along with her soccer career, she also earned a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Marketing. During her off season in college, she coached U6 and U8 soccer teams. In addition to coaching Soccer Shots, she is a certified personal trainer at Orangetheory Fitness. Coach Dior loves adrenaline rushes. She has been bungee jumping and white water rafting and hopes to sky dive, rock climb, and hike Mt. Rainier.
Coach Alan was born in Mexico but has lived most of his life in the state of Washington. He started playing soccer when i was about 12 years old with friends, and eventually played his first competitive soccer game his freshman year at Interlake High School. Alan went on to play for Issaquah soccer club’s premier side while still in high school. He has now played for two years with Bellevue College and is currently playing in a men’s amateur league in Seattle. Alan has plans to transfer to another school to continue playing soccer and receive a bachelors degree in psychology.
Coach Cody lives in Renton and is currently attending the University of Washington Tacoma. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Communications and right on track to graduate the Spring of 2018! He played soccer all throughout high school as a defender. Although he is no longer in high school, his love for soccer continues through supporting the Seattle Sounders and Chelsea FC. Other than supporting his favorite teams, Cody enjoys exercising/staying fit, living a healthy lifestyle, playing video games and talking about sports! His experience with children mainly comes from me spending time with his 15+ cousins! Being the only one without a sibling, Cody considers all of them brothers and sisters. He is by their side at all times and tries his best to help them steer their lives in a positive direction.
Coach Daniel was born in Bothell, WA. He was first introduced to soccer at four years old. He played three years of Varsity soccer at Cedar Park Christian High School, and currently plays goalkeeper at Northwest University in Kirkland where he has been a captain for three years. He has a degree in Accounting from NU and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business. Daniel spent this past summer playing semi-professional soccer in California for the SoCal Seahorses. He has five years of youth coaching experience and loves sharing his passion for soccer with young athletes.
Coach Julie was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon where she started her soccer career at age 5 in the American Youth Soccer Organization. She went on to join the local recreational teams until moving on to competitive club soccer in her middle school and high school years. Since then Julie has organized college intramural teams as well as city league teams to continue engaging with the sport, and loves staying active in any way possible! Julie received her Bachelor’s of Education in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon in 2013 and has since been working in a therapeutic based residential treatment facility for children. Having moved to the Seattle area just recently, Julie is enjoying exploring the new area and meeting new people! She is currently in pursuit of her Masters of Social Work to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with certifications in Trauma Therapy.
Coach Jasmin spent the first 12 years of her life in Southern California where she played soccer and enjoyed the sunshine. Eventually, she moved to Spokane, WA where she played numerous high school sports including basketball, track & field, and cross country. After high school, she re-located to Portland, OR to attend Concordia University and soon graduated with her B.A. in Exercise and Sports Science. While attending Concordia, she played collegiate soccer, winning Conference Championships and a National Championship. After obtaining her B.A., she decided to make a change and move to the east coast! She traveled to Massachusetts to obtain her M.S. in Athletic Training from Bridgewater State University. During those two years, she had a variety of internships at high schools, colleges, sports rehabilitation clinics, and even at FC Dallas! She still loves playing soccer, loves to travel, and loves dogs!
Coach Rachel was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She is currently a senior at Interlake High School in Bellevue. Rachel has played soccer throughout middle and high school on her school teams, and hopes to continue playing at the intramural level in college. Rachel loves kids and used to work at a daycare. She has also coached micro-soccer for 3 years with Lake Hills Soccer Club. Working at Soccer Shots will allow her to continue doing what she loves. When she’s not at school, Rachel can be found at the gym, listening to music, or at the dogpark with her dog Lucy!
Coach Alyssa was born and raised in El Dorado, CA. She began her soccer career at 5 years old playing rec soccer and when she entered high school, she moved up to competitive soccer. Alyssa moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington (GO DAWGS) and has fallen in love with the city and plans to stay for awhile. She is pursuing a Bachelors degree in ECO (Education, Communities, and Organizations) with a minor in Business Administration and is on track to graduate in Spring 2019!! This summer, Alyssa will be interning at Boeing to foster her keen eye for business. She also volunteers by coaching two rec soccer teams to further inspire children in youth sports. In her spare time, you can find her cheering loud at Sounder’s games, running around Greenlake, trying new cuisines, and spending time with her cat, Lila.
Coach Nahum was born in Mexico and moved to the U.S. at the age of 9. He began playing soccer at age 6 and has played at many different levels. He started playing in club soccer clubs throughout his youth along with 3 years on the varsity team at Hazen High School. After high school, he began coaching for Washington Youth Soccer which helps communities of low-income, in the greater Seattle area, by providing an after school soccer program that focuses on good nutrition and soccer. In addition to coaching, he was also a coach-mentor to young adults. Apart from soccer, Nahum is on track to obtain an AS in Electronics Technology by summer 2018 from Lake Washington Institute and plans to eventually obtain a degree in Electrical Engineering. When he is not coaching or in school, he likes to get outside for a jog, go fishing, hiking, or take his dog for a walk. He loves Seattle sports teams so you can catch him at most Sounders games and Mariners games, but his favorite team is Manchester United. Coach Nahum loves Soccer Shots because it is a great time for the kids and the coaches with the amount of fun everyone has and the level of excitement, but also seeing the progress the kids make at the end season is a priceless thing.
Coach Leah was born and raised in Bellevue, WA. She is one year away from graduation with a major in Elementary Education from Washington State University. Leah has played soccer ever since she was 5 years old. She began playing premier soccer during middle school and played for HPFC throughout high school. Leah began coaching soccer for preschoolers at the Moscow Parks and Rec department during her time at Washington State University. She has since been involved in clubs and work that revolve around children. Her passion is to make an impact on the youth she meets and to help their love for soccer grow as big as her own. Working at Soccer Shots will only continue to help Leah reach her goal of impacting more kids. When Leah isn’t working you can find her taking her dog Aspen to parks and binge watching shows with her boyfriend.
