Sophia was born and raised in Issaquah, Washington and has been playing soccer since she was five years old. She played for Issaquah High School and was the varsity captain during her senior year, making it to the 4A WIAA state finals. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in Physics, where she also played 4 years of varsity soccer and captained the 2016 team, making it to the NCAA DIII Final Four. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. Sophia has a passion for making an impact in young people’s lives and giving them the confidence to realize their potential – whether it’s to improve their soccer skills or to be a great friend and student.
Hannah was born and raised in Snohomish Washington and currently attends Northwest University where she plays soccer. She is working on a degree in Communication and hopes to work for a non-profit after she graduates. She has a two younger siblings and two dogs. Before Soccer Shots, she worked with Adventure Soccer as a volunteer coach and looks forward to coaching here because of her love for the sport and desire to help teach the younger generation. She enjoys hot yoga, hiking, and staying active outdoors. One of her favorite memories is swimming in a cave in Mexico with blind fish.
Coach Sarah LOVES Chipotle! She grew up in Bothell, WA and just finished her first semester of college. She plans on finishing her program online, but in the meantime can’t wait to start coaching. She started playing soccer when she was four and played until high school. Now, she loves to do CrossFit and hopes to one day become a certified coach and do CrossFit with kids. She has three brothers and two sisters. Her brothers Daniel and Josh coached with Soccer Shots in the past!
Coach Dani grew up in Southern California and started playing soccer when she was three years old. She continued playing soccer through college, where she played at Chandler-Gilbert Community College and transferred to Western Oregon University. As a student athlete, she took great pride in working hard and being a leader on and off the field. After she finished her undergraduate degree, she decided to pursue a graduate degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She currently attends the University of Washington studying Medical Speech Pathology. Her future aspirations include working with individuals who have suffered from brain injuries and aiding them in communicating and achieving their goals in spite of their injuries. When she is not studying or coaching, she loves to hike and run with her dog Scout. She also loves traveling and hopes to one day travel to every National Park in the continental United States.
Coach Chelsea was born and raised in Renton, WA. She started playing soccer at five years old and has loved it ever since. After high school, she continued her education and soccer career at Bellevue College where she received her AA in General Studies. Coach Chelsea then moved to Iowa to further her education at Waldorf University. There, she played for the Women’s Soccer team and obtained her BA in Psychology, minor in Criminal Justice. Afterwards, she moved back home to teach and coach children!
Coach Gabe was born and raised in France and has been playing soccer since he was five years old. After graduating high school, he moved to the US and attended Seattle Pacific University. He played on the SPU men’s soccer team and earned a BA in Health and Fitness Education. After graduating, he went back overseas to play semi-professional soccer in England. His most memorable experience playing soccer was when he got to play at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s home field. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Teaching to become an elementary PE teacher.
Coach Robert was born and raised in Maryland. He played soccer all throughout his childhood and into his High School years. He is currently in the final year of his BAS in Accounting and AFROTC at the University of Washington. In his free time he loves to watch films, play sports and video games, and hangout with his cat. He has a passion for teaching and is excited to have a great impact on the youth of the Seattle region.
Coach Amin is from Sammamish, Washington and has been playing soccer since he was 3 years old. He currently plays for Crossfire Premier in Redmond. He is enrolled in Running Start at Bellevue College, and is interested in playing College Soccer in the near future. Amin spent the 2018-19 school year in Casa Grande, AZ at the Barca Residency Academy USA. In his free time, he enjoys writing, music, and of course – soccer! He hopes to share his passion for the sport with many children as a coach for Soccer Shots.
Katie grew up in Charlotte, NC and has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in communication studies and political science. Before moving to Seattle, she spent a year coaching with Soccer Shots Charlotte. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, running with her dog Berkeley and cheering for the Carolina Panthers!
Coach Dany was born and raised in San Diego, California and started playing soccer when he was three years old! He is the oldest of all his siblings and cousins and has great experience with children. He moved to Washington to study Sports Medicine at Seattle University and is currently in his 2nd year of undergrad. He hopes to help athletes with injuries such as physical therapy or study movements such as exercise physiology. Being in a new place for the first time, he is very excited to see everything the Seattle area has to offer and use his knowledge of soccer while he coaches.
Coach William grew up in Portland, Oregon. He started playing soccer at a very early age and has always loved the sport. One of his proudest moments was when he was captain of his high school team and they won their first State Championship. He is now studying Bioengineering at the University of Washington and hopes to return to Portland after graduating to work in the sportswear industry.
Coach Mario was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. His passion for soccer came from his late father when Mario was very young. He loves Liverpool FC! He began developing his career as a coach in Colombia, then he relocated to Argentina to further his studies, and finally settled in Bellevue. He can’t wait to coach with Soccer Shots and have fun!
Coach Paige was born and raised in Spokane, Washington and has been playing soccer since she was six years old. She played varsity for the Lewis and Clark High School Women’s Soccer Team and was team captain during her senior year. She is currently attending Seattle University where she plays for the D1 women’s soccer program. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Paige has a passion for soccer and wants to make an impact in young people’s lives by giving them a fun environment where they can learn soccer and life skills.
Coach Coby was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. He has played soccer since he was three years old all the way through high school. He was captain of his high school varsity soccer team for 2 years. He currently attends Seattle University pursing a degree in mechanical engineering with hopes to one day go on to design roller coasters.
Coach McKenna was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and has been playing soccer since she could waddle. From jumping hurdles to playing basketball to scoring goals, McKenna has been an athlete for as long as she can remember and are some of her fondest memories. McKenna played for Northwest Nationals soccer club growing up in the PNW and decided to pursue collegiate track at Western Washington University while finishing her degree in Journalism and Psychology. McKenna loves children and watching them grow as little humans and talented athletes! Nowadays you can find her doing yoga, reading books, and doodling in her journal as she looks to chase her dreams of becoming a radio journalist!
Coach Tony was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to Federal Way where he attended Decatur High School. He grew up playing soccer in Korea and played all through high school. He is currently attending the University of Washington in Seattle and is pursuing a degree in Informatics. He loves to listen to music, especially jazz and plays video games during his free time. Upon graduating, Coach Tony intends to become a police officer in Washington and make a bigger impact in the community!
