Coach Sean was born and raised in East Sussex, United Kingdom. He started playing soccer from a very young age and it rapidly became his bread and butter. He played for club teams and attended a couple of academies throughout his academic years. Sean’s real journey and passion for coaching came when he captained a club for 5 years then moved into player/ coaching mode. He moved to the United States in 2014 and got hooked on coaching youth soccer. Sean is currently a licensed coach who is still eager to learn more. Coaching America’s future soccer players is the best job in the world and he feels as though he has so much to give back to the sport!
Director Of Operations
Coach Cassie grew up in Oakdale, MN and currently resides in North Saint Paul, MN. She started playing soccer at the young age of three and continued to play all the way through college. She played collegiate soccer at Minnesota State University, Mankato and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. She then moved out to Mount Pleasant, MI and earned her Master’s in Sports Administration and was the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach for the Central Michigan University Women’s Soccer Team for four seasons. When she moved back to Minnesota, she served as the Eagan YMCA Sports Director before joining the Soccer Shots team. Her and her husband Nate enjoy going golfing, playing cribbage, exploring new cities and attractions and hanging out with their dog Roscoe. She has a real passion for working with youth and loves being able to positively impact their growth and development and of course, having the opportunity to share her passion for soccer!
Director of Development
Coach Jon has aggressively consumed soccer since 1989. He started coaching in 2005 and has spent well over 250 hours attaining coaching licenses and certifications. Jon has coached players from age 2 through 19 including multiple Division One collegiate athletes. He has coached high school soccer for 6 years and spent 16 months working full-time at a nationwide recognized soccer academy. Having played soccer on 5 continents, Jon offers a unique perspective and fresh approach. He played collegiate soccer at Bethel University and in Chicago alongside teamates from Europe, South America & Africa. He also serves as the Technical Skill Director for North Suburban Soccer Association.
Coach Sam grew up in Wisconsin, but currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As the oldest of five Sam grew up surrounded by kids. He has a history as a volunteer in kids care programs, as a teacher in summer camps, and as a leader of kid activities during missions. Sam has played soccer since he was twelve, and in high school and college teams. He also loves to play pick-up whenever he can, and has played with locals during his travels into different countries, including Turkey, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru! Sam looks forward to each session with Soccer Shots, and loves to teach to the kids his favorite thing about soccer: Have fun!
Coach Jenna was born and raised in Minnesota. She started playing soccer at 13 and has loved it ever since. She has experience working with youth in Minnesota, Japan, and the United Kingdom. During her time at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, she designed a research project on football being used to battle social exclusion in the UK. She worked with organizations for that project that used football to reduce homelessness and youth crime. Soccer and development quickly became a passion which lead her to become a coach for Soccer Shots. She hopes to use soccer to inspire future generations.
Coach Rachel grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She started playing soccer when she was 8 and played club soccer at the University of Minnesota. She also enjoyed playing softball and volleyball growing up. Coach Rachel holds a Bachelors in Psychology. Coach Rachel has enjoyed working with kids her whole life. She has worked as a nanny, a Pre-K teacher, and a swim instructor and volunteered at her church as a Sunday School teacher. Coach Rachel is very excited to bring her diverse experience to Soccer Shots and make a positive impact on the young athletes she works with.
Coach Charlie has been coaching soccer since the age of 15 in Wisconsin, where he was born and raised. He has always been excited by sports, having played many through childhood, but he has a clear favorite in soccer. Since attending the University Of Minnesota, Coach Charlie is always looking for opportunities to play the sport he loves and pass on his passion for the game onto the next generations. Coach Charlie likes to make music and soccer videos, write session plans and watch soccer when not coaching or playing – which isn’t very often!
Coach Jordan has a true passion for working with children. She holds a degree in Elementary Education at UW-River Falls and is currently teaching elementary school children. She has worked with children extensively over the past several years babysitting, working at a daycare, being a camp counselor, and refereeing soccer. Jordan also has experience playing soccer as she played from the ages of 3 to 13. She currently enjoys being active by hiking, jogging, and snowboarding. She is excited to get to use her talents and passions to coach with Soccer Shots.
Coach Megan grew up in Bloomington and played soccer since age 8. She played varsity soccer for Bloomington Kennedy and was named to the all conference and all state team as a senior. She also played for an U19 women’s traveling team while in Minnesota. She lived in Texas for 20 years where she raised 2 children who graduated from college and now have fulfilling careers. In Texas, Megan taught preschool, was a summer day camp instructor, volunteered as a youth soccer coach and was an assistant coach for an U14 club team. She also took a coaches training course and holds a D coaching license. She has played soccer through her adulthood. In her free time, she likes to watch youth soccer, lacrosse, and football as well as all college and professional sports. She is happy to be back “home” to be with her friends and family.
Coach Carol has been playing her whole life. She came from a soccer family where her two older brothers and parents also played soccer. She is originally from Plymouth Minnesota and now lives in River Falls Wisconsin. Coach Carol has also worked as a nanny, cook, and a caregiver at the YMCA. Some of her hobbies, besides soccer, are going for runs, cooking, traveling, and scuba diving. She is very excited to be working with Soccer Shots to spread the love for soccer.
Coach Heder has played soccer since he was 8 years old. He has been playing soccer in his dad’s soccer team where they have won countless league championships. Coach Heder has also played High School Varsity for the Richfield Spartans. He is eager to keep learning and moving up in coaching to eventually reach college or professional coaching. In his free time you can find him, camping, fishing, hiking, paddle boarding, playing soccer, or at a lot of restaurants checking out their special dish.
Coach Sarah grew up in Woodbury and currently attends school at the University of Minnesota. From day one, Sarah was on the move, climbing and jumping on anything she could or couldn’t reach. She is always high-energy and channels some of that energy into coaching high school cheerleaders. Sarah is incredibly excited to coach soccer and help encourage young children to get up and play! In the future, Sarah would love to use her Food Science degree to teach children about food and cooking.
Coach Bridget is a student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She grew up in St. Paul and enjoys spending her time with her friends, her big family, and loves to cook, laugh, and spend time in the sun. She has experience with children babysitting and nannying and working as a caregiver at the neighborhood church. She has been playing soccer since she could walk and hasn’t stopped since.
Coach Matt grew up in Forest Lake and started playing soccer when he was only 3 years old. He played club soccer growing up and it quickly became his passion. Having played in high school and college he wishes for kids to grow up loving and excelling in the sport, with the goal of playing competitive in the future. He has coached kids for the YMCA as well as other soccer programs around the Twin Cities. Matt is excited for the opportunity to be a part of Soccer Shots and help the youth develop their skills. He plans on finishing school and obtain a bachelor’s degree in sport management and being involved with soccer, working, coaching, or playing for the rest of his life!
Coach Amanda grew up in McCall, Idaho before going to college in Madison, Wisconsin for kinesiology and then massage therapy school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up playing soccer from the early age of 5 and also transitioned into other sports throughout her early childhood. Cross county running and cross country skiing were among her favorites! Coach Amanda also coaches Girls On The Run along with volunteer coaching her children. Her family leads a very active lifestyle!
Coach Dave C
Coach Dave grew up with a dad in the army so have had the opportunity to live in many different states and areas around the country. He has lived in Minnesota for 12 years. Soccer became his passion during the World Cup in 2006, and he has been in love with the sport since then. In his free time, Coach Dave enjoys volunteering and giving time back to the community. Dave also enjoys watching baseball and spending time with his niece, who is the light of his life! Soccer and youth development are his two favorite things about life and he loves being a coach at soccer shots!
Coach Joe grew up in Middleton, Wisconsin. He began playing soccer at the age of 5 and continued to play through high school. He graduated from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Spanish Studies in 2018. Coach Joe has had 2 years of experience as a Youth sports coach at a summer camp in Middleton and loves the fun and goofy nature of working with children. In his free time, he likes to play sports, exercise, and enjoys cooking.
Coach Ana grew up in White Bear Lake Minnesota and is currently attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities majoring in Early Childhood Education. She is also in the University of Minnesota Marching Band. You might have seen her perform with Justin Timberlake in the Super Bowl! She ran Varsity Track and Cross Country in high school, and although she didn’t play soccer on a team, she still loved to play with her friends! Ana has a passion working with kids and has done so in many settings, including day cares and summer programs. Ana loves being crazy and silly, especially while coaching soccer!
Devin was born and raised in Seattle, WA. He started playing soccer at the young age of five. It quickly became his first passion in life. He played soccer at Saint Martin’s University and Evergreen State College. After graduating from Evergreen in 2015, Devin moved to Billings, MT with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps NW. He served in Pryor, MT at a K-8 school as a reading a math tutor for two years. From this experience Devin developed a passion for working with kids in an educational setting. After completing his second year of service, Devin moved to Minneapolis in the summer of 2018. He plans to go back to school to get a counseling degree.
Coach Maya has been playing soccer for as long as she can remember! She played for a variety of club teams growing up, as well as for her high school and through intramurals at the University of Minnesota. She grew up in Minneapolis and hasn’t left – she loves living close to the many lakes, parks, and bike paths in the city! When not playing soccer, Maya enjoys jumping in lakes, hiking, and making silly faces, and she is super excited to be coaching soccer!
Coach Allison grew up in Bloomington, MN and started playing soccer at the age of 10. She knew right away that she loved playing soccer and continued to follow her passion for it throughout college. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Allison started coaching and found a passion for helping the youth become the best they can be though soccer. Coach Allison has continued to stay involved in coaching all different ages. She now resides in Minneapolis and when not coaching soccer, she enjoys traveling, biking, rollerblading, hiking, hanging out with family and friends.
Coach Felicity is a native of White Bear Lake, MN and currently attends the University of Minnesota with a major in Nursing. She played soccer when she was in elementary school for a few years but later transitioned into cheerleading. She has experience with working with kids in day cares and school settings. Felicity is very excited to continue working with kids through Soccer Shots!
Coach James grew up in Eagan, MN playing a variety of sports. After playing soccer in elementary school the sport came back into his life by playing FIFA with his friend, Coach Dave. After watching the 2010 World Cup Coach James was hooked on the sport and it has since turned into one of his favorite hobbies. Coach James is passionate about working with children and helping them learn new skills. He is a middle school teacher and has experience coaching football, basketball, and track and field. Coach James is excited to teach soccer and life skills while having fun with all the Soccer Shots athletes!
Coach Amber was raised and still lives in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and is currently going to school to become a dental hygienist. For the last few years she has been a lifeguard, but now wants to help kids develop a love and passion for soccer! Amber has played soccer since she was 4 years old and fell in love with it right away. She started playing club soccer at the age of 10 and was on varsity for her high school team. She enjoys hiking, being outdoors, and camping with her family during the summer.
Coach Emily was born and raised in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. In high school she spent her time cheerleading. She is now working toward her Elementary Education degree at Kansas State University. She has lots of experience with children in school settings and she looks forward to having a new experience while coaching!
Coach Erwin moved to Minneapolis, MN at the age of six from Liberia, West Africa. He started playing organized soccer at the age of 12 and fell in love with the game. He continued playing at Carleton College, during which time he was provided the opportunity to coach the local U12 club team. As with playing, he also fell in love with coaching and has since coached U12 through U16 club teams. His interest in both playing and coaching has led him to Soccer Shots, where he hopes to use his experience and energy to help players develop their talent and love for the game. When he is not coaching or playing, Erwin enjoys biking, playing chess and watching movies
Coach Steve was born in Minnesota and has lived here all his life.
He hails from a soccer family of players and has been playing the game for thirty years.
He also comes from a family of teachers.
Coach Steve has been teaching for over 10 years and has taught ages from toddlers to college students.
His favorite thing about soccer is its ability to bring people together!
Some of his best friends to this day are people her met on his first youth soccer team.
Coach Halee was born and raised in Hudson, WI. She started playing soccer at a young age and played throughout High School. She currently resides in Saint Paul, MN where she is continuing to play soccer on various leagues. Halee also enjoys traveling, working out and watching sports! She is excited to spread the love for soccer with the Soccer Shots team!
Coach Ben grew up in St. Paul playing just about every sport imaginable. He loves to be adventurous and try new things, which is why he loves to travel. He played soccer until he found out he was better at kicking an American football in high school. He ran track in college. He has a B. A. in history and also loves geography. His many interests has led him to be SCUBA and EMT certified, in addition to being an Eagle Scout.
Coach Tony was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He began watching soccer at an early age with his family as they cheered “Gooool!” at the TV while watching the World Cup. From there he participated in youth programs and later played club soccer in college. In his senior year he was invited to coach a local soccer team, which kick started his coaching journey. He has coached at the club level for 6 years now but he is excited to take it to the next level with Soccer Shots. When he is not at soccer shots, Coach Tony coaches for Southeast Soccer in Minneapolis, teaches at Sanford Middle School, and attends Loons matches.
Coach Alul was born in Ethiopia, grew up in Texas and attended college and graduate school in Minnesota. She has been playing soccer since she was 10 years old. Alul has worked with youth for the last 6 years and she is super excited to get to use her talents as a coach with Soccer Shots. Alul loves soccer, traveling, food and music.
Coach Ally grew up in Carver County playing soccer through grade school and Minnesota Thunder Academy in middle school. An after school art teacher who now wants to teach kids the valuable lessons soccer has to offer on and off the field!
Coach Kelsey grew up in Saint Louis Park, MN. She has been playing soccer her whole life and while attending the College of Saint Benedict. She loves watching, playing, and coaching soccer! She has experience coaching multiple age levels and has worked teaching English to students in Spain. During her free time, she likes travelling, playing sports, exercising, and reading.
Coach Whitney grew up in Maple Grove, Minnesota. She has played soccer for as long as she can remember through school and club teams at various levels, playing goal keeper. She has graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and double minoring in Law as well as Leadership. Coach Whitney has a passion for soccer and is excited to work with young athletes in developing their own passion for the sport of soccer!
Coach Megan M
Coach Megan grew up in Connecticut and moved all over the U.S. as a child. She began playing soccer at age 5 and went on to play at the premier, olympic development, and collegiate levels. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College and has her M.A. from Carnegie Mellon University. She is earning her Ph.D. in Technical Communication at the U of M. As the oldest child and grandchild in her family, Megan grew up around kids and loves the creative energy that they bring. As a dance teacher and classroom aide to young children, Megan became adept at using playfulness and humor to keep kids engaged in constructive activities. She is excited to help Soccer Shots players develop important life skills — and have fun, in the process!
Coach Kori grew up in Central Minnesota but spent ages 2-8 in Peru where he developed a love for soccer. The oldest of 7 children, he practically had a whole soccer team to play with whenever he wanted. This level of exposure to helping and leading siblings and friends helped stoke a passion for understanding how kids learn. His passion for teaching led him to St Cloud State University, which has a top education program. Staying active in teaching and coaching jobs for 4 plus years is how Coach Kori stays on top of the ball with his education game. He looks forward to the opportunity to be a positive part of these children’s routines and learning from the other skilled coaches at Soccer Shots.

Coach Cassie grew up in Brodhead, Wisconsin and absolutely loved playing sports and staying active. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelor’s Degree of Social Work, where she focused her education on youth development and child welfare. She has spent time working in daycare settings, elementary schools, and community centers throughout Wisconsin and Minneapolis and has a passion for working with kids. Coach Cassie now lives in River Falls with her dog, Ollie, and loves spending time outside hiking, skiing, and playing sports!
Coach Ethan grew up in Burnsville MN, and is back in the true north after a short stint in Louisville, KY. He holds a deep passion for anything involving soccer and youth development/betterment. He has personally experienced the character-shaping power a coach can have and wants to share that important development piece with others.
Coach Andy is originally from San Diego, California, where he started playing soccer when he was ten years old. He loved it so much, he played all throughout high school. A knee injury made him take a break for about a year, however he loved the sport so much, he started playing for rec leagues after his knee was healed. Coach Andy started coaching for his old high school team, and also has experience with coaching club teams here in Minnesota. He also works for Minnesota’s very own soccer team, MN United, where he enjoys sharing his love for local sports with fellow fans. He continues to play in his free time, along with watching soccer on t.v., his favorite team being Real Madrid.
Coach Steffi grew up in Cottage Grove, MN. She played soccer for 14 years, starting as a young child through her teen years in High School. She absolutely loves soccer, it is her favorite sport. Coach Steffi also loves Hockey, Baseball, Football, Lacrosse, Basketball, Cricket and Rugby! Coach Steffi is working on her degree in World Religion at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire! She loves to work with kids and has been babysitting since she was 12 years old! Coach Steffi is very excited to teach young kids her favorite sport of Soccer, because she thinks it is important for kids to be and stay active.
Coach Jess grew up playing a variety of sports, but soccer has always been her favorite. She started playing soccer at age 7, continuing to play in high school and for a club team. Coach Jess graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services. During her time at Iowa State, she spent her free time playing pickup soccer, ultimate frisbee, and a variety of intramural sports. Through her experiences volunteering at soccer camps, working at a residential treatment facility, working at a summer camp, and working for various after-school programs, Coach Jess has grown in her knowledge and passion for making a difference in the lives of children. As a coach for Soccer Shots, she is excited about teaching character/social skills, while sharing her love for soccer with the children. In her free time, Coach Jess loves to write poetry, watch Netflix/Hulu, and spend time in nature.
Coach Paapa is very passionate about helping families and players develop a love for the sport of soccer and impacting their lives. He has played soccer since he can remember, as a young child Coach Paapa would spend hours out in the sun kicking the ball around with his friends. With the proper educational and skill development foundation Soccer shots has carved out a unique space in the soccer coaching arena for Coach Paapa and he is happy to be a part of this and contribute to the growth of all players and families for the love of the game.
Coach Ruben was born and raised in St. Paul. Growing up he played almost all sports with friends on their main neighborhood street. He began playing organized soccer when he was 8 years old and continued playing through high school. Ruben is looking forward to seeing the Soccer Shots athletes grow as individuals and as a team throughout the seasons
Coach Katie grew up in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. She started playing soccer at age 10. She played on travel soccer teams in the summer growing up as well as her school team and loved every minute of it! Coach Katie graduated from Saint Cloud State University with her Bachelors in Social Work. She has enjoyed working with kids her whole life. She has worked with the Boys and Girls Club for many years while in college. Coach Katie is very excited to bring her outgoing and silly attitude to Soccer Shots and make a fun experience for every kid she works with!
Coach Tiff grew up in a small town in Michigan called Pinconning. There she played soccer from about k-12 and was really fortunate to have some wonderful coaches leaving a great impression. Tiff’s hope is that she can also impact kiddos with the same active passion and enthusiasm from soccer that filled her youth
Coach Nick was born in Worthington MN. Currently living in North Minneapolis, he teaches Chess and Lego robotics at various schools around the Minneapolis area. He has a passion for teaching and helping children grow in a fun environment. He strives to bring a smile to every face and leave a positive impact that will last a lifetime. Believing and agreeing with everything Soccer Shots stands for he can’t wait to get on the field and make a difference.
Coach Jeff grew up in the age of soccer here in the United States. You could find a game if you looked, and he looked hard – in his neighborhood, on television and the small articles buried in the weekly Sports Illustrated.
Jeff ultimately played soccer through high school, college, club soccer and men’s amateur leagues.
Coach Jeff played and trained as a goalkeeper and is a certified goalkeeper coach.
He has coached for Minneapolis United and is the head coach at South Minneapolis middle school, and the keeper coach at Southwest High School. For the past 21 years Coach Jeff has coached and served as a director for TOPSoccer, a program for special needs athletes from ages 6 to 60.
He loves this game, and loves being able to share that joy with others.
Coach Malte grew up in the Ruhr region of Germany, right between the big Bundesliga clubs Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04, where soccer is life! He has been playing club soccer since he was 3 years old. After going to school and starting work as a social worker, soccer remained a huge part of his life: he has also coached teams and goalkeepers of various age groups in both Germany and the US. He moved to the Twin Cities in early 2020 and is excited to bring his passion for soccer to a new generation of kids through Soccer Shots, emphasizing both a love of the sport and of sportsmanship.
Coach Paige has been playing soccer since she was a little girl! She played throughout high school and enjoyed intramural’s in college at the University of St. Thomas. She is originally from Wisconsin, but has been an avid Minnesota lover since moving here for school! Coach Paige spent time teaching English in Thailand and is excited to continue working with kids and seeing them grow through Soccer Shots. She spends her free time outside adventuring about! She loves hiking, running, traveling, volunteering and spending time with her friends and family.
Coach CJ was born and raised in Illinois. CJ moved to MN in 2015. Growing up CJ played many sports but his favorites were Soccer, Volleyball and Football. Being the youngest of four siblings he always had the opportunity and support to try new sports. Growing up CJ’s father coached him and his siblings in any sport he could! CJ says that some of his best memories of childhood are in sports with his dad 🙂 CJ has coached PeeWee football, youth Basketball (6-8yr old) and now Soccer Shots! Coach CJ loves to laugh with the children and enjoys growing his coaching skills each week!
Coach Bailey was raised in Faribault, Minnesota and now resides in Bloomington. She started playing soccer at the age of 8 and quickly fell in love with the game. She played both club and high school soccer as captain her senior year. Bailey studied at Metropolitan State University as a full-time PSEO student and obtained her Associates of the Arts degree a month before graduating high-school. Along with working as a coach for Soccer Shots, she also is an Air Traffic Controller for the US Army Reserves. Her mission as a coach is to share her passion for soccer with the next generation of players.
Coach Molly is currently a student at UWRF studying Elementary Education and social studies. When not in school she love to be active outdoors, as well as reading and writing creatively. Coach Molly is passionate about teaching the sport to kids and getting them active and engaged.
