Coach Sheena grew up in Greenburgh, New York where she was first introduced to the game of soccer by her dad. She grew up playing the sport with him and on her junior varsity and varsity high school’s team. Her love of exercise and sports continued into her college years. She holds a bachelors and masters degree in exercise physiology. She enjoys working with children and loves to watch them grow as both people and athletes. In her spare time, she loves to go on runs, hikes, and go on adventures!
Coach Shannon was born and raised in Massachusetts. She’s worked at daycare centers south of Boston, where she fostered her love for working with children. After receiving a Bachelors degree in English from UMass Amherst, she continued to work at summer camps, academic institutes, and elementary schools. Coach Shannon played Volleyball and ran track all throughout high school, and is happy anytime she can get outside and play!
Coach Ivana has been playing Soccer much of her life, through college and on adult leagues. She has been coaching children ages 1-10 for 6 years now and has a passion for working with children. She has super high energy and brings it to every session she coaches! She loves being silly and making the kids feel that they can achieve whatever they put their mind to!
Coach Meredith is from Connecticut and was All State and Captain or her soccer team at East Lyme High School. She was a part of the Southeastern Premier soccer team and continued playing all 4 years of undergrad at Stonehill College, and was captain her Senior year! Coach Meredith is currently getting her Masters at Mercy College for Physician Assistant studies. Coach Meredith loves working with children and has often volunteered as a coach in her hometown.
Coach Jahsi was was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. He attended Mt. St. Michael Academy, where he played varsity Soccer for three years (and was Captain for 2 years!). He attended Penn State University where he played PSUAC Soccer for two years. He also made the PSUAC All Academic team both years. His coaching career started in high school, where he volunteered at my middle school to coach boys basketball. He is looking forward to sharing his love of Soccer with your child on Soccer Island!
Coach Travis grew up in West Haven, CT. He has loved playing Soccer since he was a kid. He played at Western Connecticut State University as well as semi-professionally for Danbury United. Coach Travis has a master’s degree in social work from Fordham University and hopes to have his own practice one day!
Coach Kat was born and raised in New Jersey. She has played soccer since the age of 5. She graduated from The College of New Jersey and is attending New York Medical College for a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Coach Kat has a passion for childhood development and learning through play!
Coach Courtney is from Massachusetts! She was captain of her soccer team at Methuen High School and for the Lady Tide soccer team at the University of Alabama. She also was very involved in running track and on the varsity basketball team in high school. Courtney has been a soccer shots coach in Alabama before moving back home to Massachusetts and is super excited to be back coaching! She is currently getting her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Mercy College. In her free time (not in the books) Courtney loves to spend time with her family at her lake house and watch football.
Coach Oscar has always had a passion for sports. As a young kid he played various sports. His favorite sport, however, is soccer. Coach Oscar has played recreational soccer for the past 20 years in Westchester and Bronx. He also has experience with children because he worked at a shelter home in White Plains. Some of Coach Oscar’s hobbies are recording himself free styling a soccer ball and creating tricks/moves. Coach Oscar enjoys seeing kids learning a new sets of skills knowing that they are enjoying themselves at the same time. A surprising fact about Coach Oscar is that he’s always in a positive mood. Coach Oscar is excited to be part of the Soccer Shots team because he can’t wait to use his passion for the sport to help out younger kids enjoy and love the sport as well.
Coach Chris is a NASM certified trainer and a football player. He graduated from division one, University at Buffalo with a football scholarship. Before and after college, Coach Chris has coached and mentor youth from ages 2-10 years old, whether it was football training or working as a camp counselor during the summers. He has also worked at Soccer Shots Buffalo for two years. His hobbies include working on cars, working out and traveling the world. Coach Chris broke the Guinness World Record for the “Highest Standing Jump” in July 2019. He is very excited to be a part of the Soccer Shots Westchester team because he believes our program is an excellent way to positively influence the generation that will become our future leaders.
Coach Chelsea was born and raised on Long Island, NY. She started playing soccer at the age of three and was captain of both her High School and College teams! Coach Chelsea LOVES Soccer Shots because it is a perfect mix of her two favorite things, working with children and soccer! When not on the field you can find her spending time with her family and shuffling her 2 children, Nathan and Kinley back and forth between Soccer, Baseball and Gymnastics practice and games! Coach Chelsea loves the opportunity Soccer Shots has given her to make a positive impact in the lives of children through the game of soccer.
Coach Kevin was born and raised in Birmingham England. He moved to NY in 2009. Coach Kevin has been playing soccer all his life and continues to do so today on adult leagues. When not coaching you can find him kicking a ball around with his two children Nathan and Kinley or watching his favorite team (Aston Villa) play!
